Great story, a bit scary, my 11y old loved it and understood the concept...don't swim in the lochs!

My 6 year old absolutely loves this story. She is half Scottish and has visited the Kelpies heads so she loved finding out about the folklore tale of the Kelpies. It was beautifully illustrated too. My child was able to read it but she reads Oxford Turquoise level books.

It is very hard to find child friendly versions of Scottish myths but this story is beautifully written and illustrated. The story explains the Kelpie myth in a way that is not too frightening.

I like this and the illustrations. My granddaughter pointed out that it is a different story from the one included in a compilation I sent her a while ago, so she preferred the one she has. But i like it.

This series of books are beautifully illustrated. My grandchildren love them. Bought all the books. They're enthralled and interested in learning about Scottish takes and legends

Magic storytelling, impressive artworks with movement and with sweet colours. We are re-reading it all the time. For any Scottish-tales lovers.
