Whiting Farms Fly Tier's Variety Pack

This is an excellent product! Loads of feathers at a great price. I got a good variety of shapes, sizes, and colors but your mileage may vary. Keep in mind this is a trim/scrap pack. These are the trimmings that weren't used in Whitings other better products. They toss em in a bag and sell them cheap. You never know what you will get in the bags as they are filled at random. But if you are a bit adventurous and like surprises they can be super fun! Tons of different colors and styles of feathers for various tying uses. Tailing feathers, streamers, panfish flies, the possibilities go on. Very glad I grabbed a bag. Might grab another sometime if I can find the space to store it lol. Happy tying!

I ordered this hoping to get a decent selection of Whiting Hackles. I was not disappointed. If you have priced their necks and capes you know they are pretty pricey and it would cost a lot to get a nice selection of colors and types. This is a good way to add to your feather collection without spending a ton of money. I bought 2 packs. Both had a nice selection of both wet and dry hackles suitable for wooly buggers, streamers, dry flys and nymphs. Received a nice selection of colors including some that I would not buy a full neck of due to cost but would still want have available to use.

This is a GREAT product if you’re a beginner or you’re experienced. Perfect for experimenting and it comes with tons of colors, sizes, and types. Along with the variety they are great quality as expected from Whiting, and the work great for tails on streamers and poppers. Will be buying again!!!

The tyers pack arrived quickly, and the vast majority arrived in good shape. I was happily surprised by the fact that almost every clump of feathers will get used in my fly tying, and the quality of the feathers was great. My only dislike was that so many feathers were crammed into one bag that some feathers were bent and it will take extra effort to straighten them for use. More careful packing of the bag would eliminate that issue.

I can't believe how much stuff is included in this package! I pulled everything out and am blown away by the variety of feathers and colors. Some of the peices are a little short, but I think I can use at least 90% of it. Just to get as many colored hackles as my kit came with I'm sure I'd spend at least $100. I strongly recommend this to any new fly tier looking to get a large variety of feathers or even seasoned tiers looking to round out their collection a bit more. I have felt underwhelmed with most of my fly material purchases on Amazon (no joke, deer hair is 3x as expensive as my local store). In 20 years of fly tying and buying materials I can say hands down that this has been the best value of any of the materials that I've bought.

this is my first time ordering from whiting farms. After reading the reviews i wasn't sure if i was going to be happy with my order . So i took a chance and figured id either get a few good feathers or a bunch of junk. Well im very surprised with how many good feathers were in this package. I'm thinking that the people that didn't like their package , were expecting a top of the line product . Dont get me wrong these are top of the line for a SCRAPS bag . So all in all this is an awesome deal for these materials.

Wasn't expecting much. I saw a couple of grizzly hackle in varying colors in the picture, so I went for it. I was pleasantly all the different types and colors in the pack. Even a full mallard flank. Well worth the money.

There is enough feathers in this pack to last the Average fisherman/fly tyer a good long time for Salmon/Steelhead, Bass, etc.. The ONLY issue, which is not an issue, you don't get to pick specific colors, but there is enough in there that in the long run, won't matter because there is always fly you can tie with what you have. Great Pack, hope they do this with other products they have.
