I'm quite familiar with ADHD. 3 things I've seen making dramatic differences in the adult ADHD were artificial food colors, plant-based protein intake and PS intake. My child has been on this medication for a year, we can tell if he has missed if for any amount of days. He is a exuberant 9 year old but you can really tell the difference. I know the school systems love to label any child that doesn't "conform" to their standards as ADHD/ADD etc, but even the teachers have noticed that he is more focused and pays attention in longer spans than previous years. He likes to be active in multiple sports, hiking, running, and martial arts. This has helped him more than wearing him out ever can! Okay first of all it takes special teachers to teach children who are ADHD or have autism. I have learned that sometimes teachers do not know how to teach these kids and us as parents can become very frustrated because as a mother I have broken a lot of walls down for my son when it comes to school, but I really exhausted myself. When we lived in Texas the teachers were unbelievable masterminded in this area my son was on top of his class and the teachers would say he was smarter than them; than we moved to Georgia and they were clueless and I literally saw my son's intellect decline it made me restless, irritable and I cried everyday and at night. Right now my son who just turned 7 years old is one amazing child and I am proud of our progress. The main point don't wait for doctors and teachers to tell you what is best for your child .. you know what is best for them step out there fight for your child.. the sky is the limit. When someone tell you your child can't, stand up and say "We will see" ,because I sure did and I and grateful to God for the ability to listen to him and him only. "Slow and steady wins the race" is what I teach my son also the Bible states "the race is not given the swift nor to the strong" I told my son just baby just endure. Maybe I am a bit bold on this subject but everyone around me and even my husband has watch me go to the bat for my son. You all do the same. Hope this helps!

My 9 year old son was diagnosed with ADHD in kindergarten. He was extremely, extremely hyperactivity. Not naughty, but definitely a little curious George with more energy.
