I needed this to add new devices to my motorcycle. I works great with cables I had for this.

Over the years I've used thousands of crimp terminals for various amateur radio projects. The current project involves terminating dozens of counterpoise radials for my 160 meter inverted-L antenna, and I needed a box of ring terminals for the 1/4" studs on my DX Engineering radial plate. The blue insulation is adhesive-flooded heat shrink, so presuming a solid electrical contact was made with the crimp, this ensures the connector will have weatherproof mechanical reliability as well. I recommend these extreme highly! Obviously they are available for different wire gauges and stud sizes; this is just the one I happened to need for this project. $20 for 130pcs. My only complaint is the crimp portion feels a wee bit flimsy compared to genuine Panduit terminals, so be careful when crimping. For outdoor wiring needs these skookum terminii are just the Cockford-Ollie.

Pricey but high quality. I like the idea of a mechanical crimp coupled with a heat shrink jacket. There are cheaper terminals out there available in mega-packs. I considered those but read reviews like "thinnest metal ever", "you better solder after you crimp". I decided to purchase these instead. My current use is in grounding my very expensive network equipment; a quality terminal is essential.

For a prototype project ahead of me there was a lot of ring terminals to fit. Previously I would crimp, solder and then heat-shrink the terminal. Due to the volume of the work I needed a reliable crimp system that required no soldering, just a secure crimp followed by heat gun. I have to say, after much research, these are the business. Use the correct tool for the correct colour of crimp and you will have a secure crimp with good electrical connection, with no danger of "pull off". Having been cynical of crimp only systems I am a convert - having spent 30 years in the automotive trade as a sparkey.

Meiner Meinung nach ist der Schrumpfschlauch viel zu weit am Ring platziert worden. Beim verschrauben wird der Schrumpfschlauch permanent unter der Mutter eingeklemmt. Ich mußte jeden Schrumpfschlauch mit einem Messer kürzen das er passte. Schade.
