Green Planet AT&T BT166342 Replacement Cordless Battery

These Green Planet replacement batteries for my AT&T cordless phone cost way less than the official replacement batteries sold on the AT&T website, but they seem to be very poorly made. When I tried to insert it into my phone, one of the leads attached to the battery pulled right out. I managed to push it back in so it works, but I will not be buying these batteries again. Frankly, I feel that all official replacement batteries for AT&T phones sold on their website are outrageously expensive ($20 to $25 apiece). It's cheaper to buy new cordless phones than to replace the batteries. I was hoping for a bargain here, but while this was definitely a bargain price, the Green Planet replacement batteries are very poor quality.Update - 10/25/14: I have now had these Green Planet replacement batteries installed in my AT&T cordless phones for over a year-and-a-half, and in spite of appearing to be cheaply made, they have been working excellently. They are still charging well after all these months, and they hold a charge for several hours. Sometimes you get MORE than you paid for!

When you need a new battery for your cordless, DON'T buy from at&t! They want $25 plus shipping-ridiculous! This is a non OEM battery but works just the same. The company shipped very fast and without error. I have just had it for less than a day, so I am yet to learn if it will be of the same quality as an OEM one. (I hope! and I am thinking positively LOL)

I have the  VTech Communications Safe & Sound Digital Audio Monitor , and the parent unit battery warning started occurring after only 20-30 minutes of use, which meant we had to bring the AC adapter around the house to get power.This battery is a few bucks cheaper than the OEM part (which is harder to find, to boot), and works great so far. I've been using it for a week, and it charges as quickly as the old battery, but lasts as long as the old battery did when it was new (about 1 year ago).

I do not know much about batteries. For some reason, these batteries do not hold a charge as long as the original batteries. Perhaps I ordered some that have a lower storage capacity (if there is such a thing). I am not faulting the batteries or the seller. I am recommending buyer check original battery specs before ordering.

I simply could not locate an OEM battery for my AT&T cordless phone anywhere. The supporting information for this battery says it will work with my phone, despite the power specs being slightly different. I was worried about the specs not matching up exactly, but this has been working in my phone for a while, with no sign of problem.

I am a bit disappointed as they did not appear to increase the time off the charger. I have 3 phones and replaced two with these batteries. The third one has a different battery and can remain off the charger for a much longer time then the two with these new batteries.However, it did improvesome static that was taking place before with these two phones. Price was right so it depends on what you're looking for. Time off the charger or less static?

Our phones were all starting to act weird and/or just died all around the same time. I suspected it was a battery issue but didn't want to spend too much to find out. These were a good deal and ended up solving the problem with the phones. I've had them in there for a few months now and they seem to be holding up fine so far.
