Simple design, exactly what I needed
Bought for drawing to save my neck! Super easy to assemble and it dissembles flat for east storage. The rubber mat does move a little on the smooth wood surface and there is nothing to fix the wooden parts permanently together, this doesn’t bother me but may not be suitable for someone wanting to move it as a whole.

Mixed review.
Good quality apart from the mat that slides off. I’ve tried different adhesives to stick it down with no success. Next step will be Velcro, but would have to be on very edge so not lumpy. Board itself is good.

Simple concept
The concept on this item is great. Seems sturdy and I would say it is good value for money. Wasn’t planning to move it from the desk so it would have been ok with the simple way it’s built. Unfortunately it was left in the rain and half of it swelled up making it impossible to use.

Useful for handwriting
I use this for journalling and creative writing by hand. The non-slip mat helps with my large notebooks. The only disadvantage is that the two pieces which enable it to be stored flat also mean it's hard to move on and off my desk. Some sort of locking mechanism would be ideal - which is why only 4 stars, not 5.

Best of it's kind we've tried
I bought this and also a clear perspex writing slope for my little girl who was having difficulty and pain writing due to over extending joints. The clear plastic slope slid all over her desk and her books and paper kept sliding off it. Causing her additional frustration and some tears. This writing slope although somewhat bigger is a winner though. Doesn't move on the desk. Holds the papers and books without sliding. And she's happy with it.

Save your posture!
This is a joy to use, either seated at your desk, or as I mostly use it, standing with the writing slope on top of a chest of drawers. I'll address two issues with it. Some reviewers have complained that the surface is quite slippery and that paper just falls off it. First, in my experience, this is mostly not true. I have attached a photo of a small journal that has been standing on its own all day and is still where I left it. Same thing with papers. Second, and more important, the slipperiness is a *feature*, not a bug. It's designed to encourage you to use one hand to write, and the other hand to hold the piece of paper. That improves your posture so much, you no longer have that kind of writing-shoulder-going-down-forward-and-twisting kind of posture that anyone who writes a lot will instantly recognize. For long term posture for those who write a lot, it's worth its weight in gold. For those who find this slipperiness annoying, they do include some kind of plastic or rubber surface you can use to prevent that. But I haven't found it necessary, and using it seems to miss the point of the design. The other possible issue is that if like me you write a lot by hand, you will often have something you are reading or taking notes from at the same time, which might be a book, or the previous page you have written. I have used a bit of cardboard that came with the delivery to prop up bits of papers (see attached photo), and there is a small ledge you can prop books on and lean them against the wall at the same time (see another attached photo). That works pretty well, but it's a bit ad hoc, and I would love to see the manufacturers think about how to design a writing slope / book or paper holder that you can use at the same time. But my homemade solution works well for my purposes, and I am sure other users could find similar solutions. All in all, I have been a bit disappointed by various computer stands I've bought to achieve a good posture, but this writing slope was an excellent purchase. All in all, I just love the feeling of handwriting with a fountain pen on this simple but elegant wooden structure. It's slow and calming, so much the opposite of staring at a computer screen.
