This cable works well for our dogs, which weigh 45 lbs and 12 lbs. We got it in a cheery yellow color and are very happy with it! The clips seem sturdy and well attached to the cord. A word of caution to anyone buying these - I have used similar cables for years as tie-outs when I have my dogs with me in unfenced areas. These are not ideal to leave a dog unattended on as they can easily become tangled in them. They also should be picked up when it is wet out and brought inside because, eventually, the plastic over the cable will wear and then the cable inside will start to rust. At that point, it takes one strong pull from a large-ish dog (like my 45-lb girl) to snap the cable! Still, this one seems to be of good quality and, with good care, I think it'll last a long time.

I bought these to use as tie-outs for our dogs so we could be hands free for set up/break down of our camp site and so we could relax a little and not have to have them "on leash" all the time. These tie-outs worked perfectly and I'm thrilled I bought them. Truth be told I went with this brand because of the bright, cheerful colors as most tie-outs come in red or gray. I have girl dogs and the pink is just more cheerful and fun. They seem to be pretty sturdy and I'm not worried about my girls breaking them as I have read in other reviews about tie-outs snapping. My girls are 80 lbs, 60 lbs and 50 lbs and these worked great.

This tie out is just what I needed for my Lab/Malinois puppy. I spend a lot of time working in my garage, and she just can't stand to be in the back yard while I'm in there. I set this up for her so she can wander the front porch, the front yard, and in front of the garage enough so she can see what I'm doing and get a scratch, but not get into anything dangerous. The length is just right for her to stop a few feet short of the sidewalk, so no worry about getting after passers-by. She's happy and I'm getting a little closer to getting a project car on the road. Win-win!She's a heavy chewer, and I've seen her start working on the cable and give up. Can't imagine steel cable feels good on the teeth. The tie cable and it's plastic cover are very tough. Very happy with this for the price.

This is a great color of purple and so far it has held up really well to a dog that needs to chill out a little bit! No rust at this point either. We only use it when we put the dog out to go potty a few times a day so no idea how it might hold up to an outside dog, but we are happy with it so far.

This is the perfect diameter for the intended use. It's well made, the plastic covering is thick, the swedge/crimps are well done, the fasterners are heavy duty, and I like the orange color. We have a 65# doodle who chews throough every leash that I buy. I actually used a boating running knot and made the cable into a leash...it works GREAT!! I'm sure this is great tie-out cable...I just opted for a different use.

This was purchased to keep my 1/2 retriever/1/2 border collie from eating all of our trees and shrubs as he gets bored easy. I was able to find an area so he can run and play and take care of business. I found this is very strong, and with the swivel snap hook I was able to secure him with one and the other wrap cable around the post and secure with the snap. It makes it easy for me to untie him and bring him in after he is done playing in the backyard. A good buy for the money!

Purchased after my dog chewed through her walking leash while watching us play kickball (she wanted to join the fun!). Used with: Aspen Pet Stake Large 18" EZ-Turn, BlueThis has been a great product. The construction materials have held up well with frequent outside use - the plastic wire coating is durable and the clip mechanisms on both ends of the lead work very smoothly despite moisture, dirt, and sand accompanying use. If this product ever wears out, I'd buy again to replace.

Great product, works great! We use it when we’re camping to allow our dog to explore the camping area, however not go too far. It’s lightweight and easy to set up!

Sometimes I can’t unhook the latch.
