A definite clog, buster!
Bought this because I had a bathroom sink that I couldn’t get cleared no matter what I did for about four months. I had a plumber come out pay him money. He used the plunger and some other type of manual. Snake said he had to get different tools, never came back. saw this thing online reviews look promising really didn’t have high hopes gauging at the price, but I got it charge the battery put it to work and busted my clog worked perfectly. My only regret is that I didn’t get the 50 foot instead of the 25 foot but it worked perfectly. If you’re on the fence, just buy it it works..

This made me as happy as a kid on Christmas morning. Going from the frustration of using the type that attaches to a drill, or the type you have to spin, then using this and clearing the clog and knowing I saved myself $250. What a sense of accomplishment, and dang it's easy too. My wife and kid think I'm handy now. I used to tell my family not to dump grease down the drain, now I strongly encourage it just so I can use this again. I sleep easy at night knowing if I ever run into a clog issue again this thing is sitting on a shelf in my living room for all to see as soon as they walk into my house.

Too small
It's a quality tool, but the cable was too thin and the head was too small to unclog my toilet. I used another tool with a larger head and it was unclogged on the 1st go.

A true Drain Savior
I recently faced 2 stubborn slow drain line issues in both my kitchen sink and washing machine drain lines that connect to the main line outside my house. Enter the POPULO 20V Cordless Electric Drain Auger, and it worked like magic! Here’s why I’m impressed:This little wonder cleared up the clogs faster than I could say “plumber.” No more standing water, no more frustration. And it paid for itself by eliminating the cost of having a plumber come out and snake the lines! The POPULO 20V Cordless Electric Drain Auger feels sturdy and well-made. It’s evident that it’s designed to handle tough jobs. The forward and reverse lever feels a little "stiff" but it's not a knock on this little machine at all. The design is similar to other plumbing snakes that you would attach a drill to. However, the ability to advance and retreat the snake makes using this snake over a traditional snake a game changer. You can select the direction the snake rotates, similarly to the way you change the forward and reverse on a cordless drill, by pressing a direction indicator near the trigger. Here's how I was able to clear both drain lines:1. Pull the snake from the machine and place it into the drain2. Switch the direction lever to the Forward position3. Pull the trigger to begin advancing the snake down the drain line. When the snake hits a bit of resistance and the cable stops advancing down the drain, release the trigger and put the lever in "neutral." Now pull the trigger to engage the spin, and manually push and pull the snake inside the drain by moving the machine forwards and backwards in a "sawing" like motion. When you no longer feel the resistance, release the trigger, switch the lever to forward, repeat the process.4. When satisfied, switch the lever to reverse and begin retracting the cable back into the machine drum.[Pro tip] PPE is a must! As are rags and/or towels to help with clean up. You don't want the build-up and crud from your pipes getting thrown everywhere as the snake is being retracted. I used a rag to hold the cable in my left hand while I was retracting the cable out of the drain (it helped prevent the rotation from flinging nastiness everywhere and kept some of the gunk from being retracted into the machine's drum.)I wish the manufacturer had painted an indicator at the 2-foot mark and the 24-foot mark. I'll be doing this myself another day. The 24-foot mark would let you know there's not much snake left to send, and the 2-foot mark would help when retracting the snake back inside. This isn't a negative knock on the machine, though!Excellent purchase for the DIY-er!

Electric Drain Auger Falls Short of Expectations
As a homeowner, I often encounter plumbing issues that require immediate attention. When I stumbled upon the POPULO Electric Drain Auger, with its promising features and positive reviews, I thought I had found the perfect tool to tackle clogged drains. However, my experience with this product has left me feeling utterly disappointed. In this comprehensive review, I will share my personal encounter with the POPULO Electric Drain Auger, covering all key points and explaining why it deserves only a 1 out of 5-star rating.Unreliable Performance:The most crucial aspect of any drain auger is its ability to efficiently clear clogs. Unfortunately, the POPULO Electric Drain Auger fails to deliver in this department. Upon receiving the product, I eagerly put it to the test in various situations: a clogged toilet, a blocked bathroom sink, and a backed-up shower drain. In each instance, the drain auger struggled to make any significant progress. The motor seemed underpowered, and the rotating snake failed to effectively break down or extract the clogs. This lack of reliable performance rendered the product almost useless in resolving my plumbing issues.Inadequate Reach:Another critical feature of a drain auger is its reach, as it determines the tool's ability to navigate through the pipes and reach the clog. Unfortunately, the POPULO Electric Drain Auger falls short in this aspect as well. With a meager 25ft of cable, it could only reach clogs located near the surface. Deeper or more complex clogs were beyond the tool's capabilities. This limitation greatly diminished its usefulness, as many plumbing systems require longer cables to access clogs effectively.Poor Battery Life:The POPULO Electric Drain Auger is marketed as a cordless tool, offering convenience and ease of use. However, the battery life is a significant letdown. Despite charging the device fully before each use, the drain auger's battery consistently died after only a few minutes of operation. This forced me to repeatedly pause my work, recharge the device, and resume the task—a frustrating and time-consuming process. A drain auger should provide a sufficient battery life to handle the average duration of a plumbing task, but the POPULO Electric Drain Auger falls short in this regard.Lack of Durability:Durability is crucial when it comes to tools, especially those designed for challenging tasks like unclogging drains. Unfortunately, the POPULO Electric Drain Auger did not live up to expectations in this area either. During my limited usage, I noticed several signs of wear and tear. The cable started to fray after just a few uses, and the rotating mechanism became increasingly noisy and unstable. These issues raised concerns about the product's longevity and reliability over time. Investing in a drain auger should guarantee a durable tool capable of handling repeated usage, but the POPULO Electric Drain Auger fails to meet this expectation.Limited Versatility:One would hope that a drain auger marketed as suitable for 3/4"-2" pipes would be versatile enough to handle a wide range of plumbing fixtures. Regrettably, this was not the case with the POPULO Electric Drain Auger. While it managed to navigate the standard-sized pipes relatively well, it struggled with larger or irregularly shaped pipes. This limitation severely restricted its usefulness, as many plumbing systems incorporate different pipe sizes and configurations. A truly versatile drain auger should be adaptable to various scenarios, but the POPULO Electric Drain Auger falls short in this regard. Conclusion:In conclusion, my experience with the POPULO Electric Drain Auger has been nothing short of disappointing. From its unreliable performance and inadequate reach to its poor battery life and lack of durability, this product fails to meet even the most basic expectations. The limited versatility further diminishes its usefulness in real-life plumbing situations. For anyone seeking a reliable and effective drain auger, I cannot recommend the POPULO Electric Drain Auger. It simply does not deliver on its promises and falls far short of providing a satisfactory solution to common plumbing issues.

The battery last a long time.
Populo 20v battery drill snake is well made. It made light work for my clogged drains. Just got it delivered today and the battery was charged right out of the box. They really took the time to design and make this snake. Excellent size, light weight, fits under the sink. So impressed, you usually don’t get what you pay for. Very Happy… Thanks Mike G.
