Kobalt 80-volt 2.5-Amp Hours Rechargeable Lithium Ion Cordless Power Equipment Battery KB 2580-06

I have tried generic brand batteries but they do not last as long as the name brand Kobalt. You can roughly 160 for a Kobalt or about 100 for a generic. I have had a generic for roughly one year and it is already beginning to have less time to use off the charger.

It is a Kobalt 2.5 AMP HOUR Battery in the box. I thought for the price it might have been re-conditioned but no, it is a Brand NEW Battery and has charged as it should and I used it for about 10 minutes today and seems to work as it should. Thanks for a good deal on the battery that was much cheaper than at Lowe's for sure, so good value for your money.

Perfect fit! Bought this so I wouldn't have to wait while the battery recharges, so I can get my mowing done more quickly. Looks a wee bit different, but exactly the same where it counts.

This is an awesome battery that can be used interchangeably with Kobalt tools that use 80 volts. I use mine for a weedeater and chainsaw. I bought two of these batteries so that while one charges I can use the other one. They charge very quickly 30 minutes and the reason for four stars is that there is a 30 minute run time on them if you are holding the trigger down steadily for 30 minutes and then it goes out. That’s fine for me because it is almost as powerful as my gas powered Stihl chainsaw and more powerful than my gas powered stihl weedeater. As I said it runs a little longer than the charge time so to give you indefinite power if you keep one charging. The seller that I bought it from sent it very promptly and it was packaged securely and the battery is the same that you would buy at Lowe’s if you purchased it there. I was very pleased with the delivery and also the price was less expensive than what I would pay at Lowe’s. I am very happy with the product and I hope to do business with this seller again sometime.

Perfect!!! The original one finally died after 6 years. Replaced with this one and haven’t missed a beat. Weed eat solid for 45 minutes and plenty of charge.

I am not one to write reviews but this is an expensive product and others should be aware. I originally bought my husband a leaf blower and weed eater combo for Christmas that came with only one battery that was interchangeable. When the battery it came with quit working within a few months of having it and I assumed it was just a faulty battery. I saved up to buy him a replacement battery (these are not cheap) for Father’s Day. Now here we are only 4 months later and the replacement battery is no longer working. It will look like it’s charging at first, and then it will just give a red light showing it’s dead and when plugged into the leaf blower or weedeater, it will not work. We keep the battery indoors and unexposed to elements and these are only used for normal outdoor maintenance. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED especially for the cost of these. Not only am I frustrated about the batteries, I now feel I will need to buy a whole new brand of weedeater and leaf blower because of these faulty batteries.

Excellent price for an original Kobalt battery replacement. Seems to allow me to mow longer without a battery swap
