I bought the AlcoMate AL7000 precisely because it was the only one that enabled you to replace the sensor yourself. I used this to replace my old sensor, and it was simple. Open the access door, pull the old one straight out (no tools needed) and snap the new one in. Now the calibration warning is gone from the device, and it works great. Update: After only about 3 months, I got a CAL warning. I ordered another one, hoping the first was just defective. The one that came in my AlcoMate lasted about a year.

Such a quick and easy way to make sure your breathalyzer is accurate. I purchased the AlcoMate AL7000 two years ago, recently took it out of retirement and found it was not giving accurate readings. Ordered this sensor module, which arrived within 24 hours. In less than a minute, I opened the sensor door, pulled the old sensor out and put the new one in. It works great, just like brand new. No concerns if the results are correct anymore. Should have ordered this sooner.

Seems to work great. Easy to swap out, no sweat. However, I can't attest to how accurate it is simply because I haven't had to blow for a cop before. I can say that it's much more consistent than Police units. Those can fluctuate as much as .03% within 5 minutes. That's the difference between you going to jail and not! YIKES!!

Very accurate and easy to install

Tried out the sensor before my initial one that came with the mobile tester went bad, to see if it was good and it was error, error, error. My initial one is still good but.. Boy do I feel like I've been scammed. The BAC mobile detector is good and works great. Do not buy an extra sensor at the time of buying the initial purchase. I feel scammed. 2nd sensor I bought as a back up does not work.

I don't understand the negative reviews. I removed my current module and compared it with the Amazon and mfgr photos and it is the same, so I ordered and received next day, plugged it in and it works. Couldn't ask for more.

I accidentally dropped the AL7000 device and it started showing "Err2". Customer support told me that replacing the sensor would fix it since it is damaged. As they told the error went away after replacing the sensor.

This is the second module I`ve bought in the last year and have since found out they have an expiry date. The first unit lasted 3 months without hardly any use. The second unit expires in December this year. Beware.

the component came in a box that was damaged. The sensor displayed an error code 22. i had to order a 2nd sensor that worked. I would like my credit card refunded please.
