BIANCHI105 Minimalist Holster

A little tight at first but broke in great. It also fits my ruger lcr 38 much better than the old holster I was using. Retention on both revolvers is very good, I dont need to use the hammer thong.

Just received my holster (SP101). (Thankfully) these is no cheap elastic band to wrap over the hammer. But there is a small D ring with a leather tab on it to (hopefully) provide some protection against chaffing. The D ring look like it is attached with a piece of vinyl and won't last under every day carry conditions. A leather smith could fix this but why would they design it this way to begin with? Only adds to production costs and does not make it better. Looks like an afterthought. Seems they should have just planned for that when they punched out the leather for production. This is the only reason for 4 stars.Fits great, bottom 1/2" of the barrel sticks out but does not concern me. Covers maybe the first 1/3 of the trigger guard, again, not a concern to me. But it does fit snuggly. No adjustable tensioner, but its tight enough it won't fall our doing jumping jacks or running, yet not so tight as to inhibit intentional draw when on a belt. I returned a $50 holster with very poor fit (though it was listed for an SP101) and tried this. Very glad I did. Outstanding holster for the money.

I worked the leather in my hands for 15 minutes and the Ruger SP101 2.25” fit right in the way it should. No plastic bag stretching needed or days of wait to get it to fit. Holster hugs the hip well. Made in Mexico of what seems like good quality leather. Could work for conceal carry if you’re wearing a heavier coat. We’ll see how long the rubber/elastic hammer keep lasts, but for now 5 stars. Note: tan color holster is MUCH lighter in color than photo, but no issue for me.

The trigger on my gun is just ever so slightly exposed. This should not be a problem if you're careful, though. The trigger on the sp101 is so heavy and the hammer is blocked by the strap, which makes it almost impossible to pull while in the holster.

Perfect fit...... owned one before and decided to get this again for my sp101........ very happy

I have another Bianchi holster it’s about 30 years old for my Single Six. Bought this one for my two edc 38’s seems well made very comfortable. Will change to 5 stars if the hammer thong holds up looks a little weak.

Updated/downgraded 2/27/2018 - Safety issue. With either an SP-101 or a J Frame, the trigger guard is not fully covered.---------------------------------------Original review:I have a 105 for my PPK 380, but found it nicely fit a Colt Mustang as well. This size (1) fits both the Ruger SP101, as well as a number of S&W J Frame revolvers. The open bottom accommodates different barrel lengths. It has just the right amount of forward cant. Retention is pretty good without the stretchy thingie, so I just cut it off, as it got in the way. Your mileage may differ.
