A "confession" of unbeliever.
Being active electronic engineer for over two decades and forever music enthusiast at the same time, based on law of physics I always believed, sorry - I always knew that low power and low frequency signals like audio can be transmitted effectively with minimum degradation over any conductor in a typical distances of few feet between your audio source and amplifier. At least with some degradation of course but not noticeable for average human ear.And for 3 decades I have been a whitness of many debates about interconnect cables, arguments being thrown by those like me vs those who "heard" the difference.Myself I never gave it much thought staying firm on my baseline which was ohm law and electromagnetism... and basic RCA interconne cable. Althought been emotionally sensitive to various music genres and exploring them all through my life, I always thought I am one of those who won't hear the difference. Not long ago, I stumbled upon incredible deal and purchased hi-end amplifier and speakers I always thought about since my youth. I paired it week later with adequate cd/sacd player source and connected both using my old standard interconnect stereo radioshack quality RCA cable. I dusted off my sacd collection for years forgotten for a favor of mp3 format and put first disk into play. And in that moment I was just blown away and then encapsulated by an amazing field of sound I have not heard for years or even ever. I could not stop listening, one disk after another I was rediscovering my music over again, this time with it's real glory, with Incredibles details and clarity I have forgotten long time ago.I went further and purchased and downloaded few high bitrate dsd128 and flac96/24 albums and this brought the orchestra, performers and amazing sound ambience right into my living room raising the bar even further and making me hungry for more...for more music. One day when I was changing another disk in my player, I noticed the black radioshack quality interconnect cable on the back of my player. It made me wonder about experiment to replace it with something more...something from the world of those who believed and heard "the difference".I ordered pair of subject BetterCables RCA interconnecs paying high premium for it however convinced the experiment will mostly likely fail but it it's still definitely worth to try. I was so curious.Next day interconnect arrived. I put into play one of my favorite disk with top piano artist playing Chopin and listed one more time with old interconnect. Next I replaced the cable to BetterCable and listened again. And then "it" happened, because I could not believe how much more I can hear now. I thought this was subjective experience, some momentary change of the mood or hearing ability. So I waited till next day and I repeated experiment. The result was the same. The increase of music and sound details was astonishing. Although I can't say whether because new cable was attenuating signal less due to high quality cable or because of improved channel separation - the new interconnect are two separate cables, one for each channel unlike old combo cable where wires for both channels are molded into one jacket,Either way, the result was beyond my highest expectation and I decided to keep the product. So here I am, someone who was sceptic for decades on how much improvement interconnect cable can make, now could whitness the audible improvement on sound reproduction qualify.Yes, the player and amplifiers do matter to hear cable improvement. But these were not subject of my experiment. The BetterCable were and they surely passed the test with flyings colors.Great quality improvement to value ratio. Highly recommended.

I do not like the sound, but you may like it
The build quality is great. However, I do not like the sound that is coming out of this cable, but you may like this type of sound. This cable does not sound thin as most silver product is but it does carry metallic sound, it is pretty sharp on the edges. The sound is extended on certain frequencies and suppressed on certain frequencies in the midrange (Most of vocal becomes unnatural)You may or may not hear this characteristics, depending on the equipments that you have. I used my Luxman 550axii with sonus faber olympica 1 as my reference system. My system reveals enough that I can hear the difference. You may think all cables sound the same and this is a snake oil, it is quite alright. I used to be a non-believer on cables until I have a revealing system.I did a few a/b tests with blue jeans cable lc1 and I can tell the difference as it is not a subtle difference. I also kept jumping back and forth between line 1 and line 2. Line 1 was for bjc lc1 and line 2 is for this cable.I think this cable is showing its strength for rock music and instrumental music that is using metal instrument (metal string guitar).

Great quality and a definite improvement in sound!
For years I always used basic rca cables and speaker wire for my stereos. High-end cables that cost hundreds of dollars always seemed ridiculous to me and never seemed worth the money. But over the years, as my system increased in quality, I felt the need to maybe try some "better cables" in my setup. I first started with better cables speaker cables and immediately noticed a difference in the sound. I chose this company because it is an American made in the USA company, and even though their cables are more pricey than basic cables, they are not ridiculously priced like some other audiophile cables. After being impressed with their speaker cables, I decided to go with these rca cables to use between my Preamp and amplifier. Once again, there was a noticeable auditable difference in quality of sound that could not be denied. The music sounded more detailed and the highs seemed more defined and crisp without being too bright or harsh. I am a believer now that cables can make a difference, but going with these cables, you won't break the bank in the process! Great cables at a great price!

High resistance cables
These cables are NOT quality cables, I bought the 1 meter and they are not any better than the WORLDS BEST CABLES $45 cables.I used an oscilloscope to measure the resistance of both cables, these have about .17 Ohms and the WB have .15 Ohms when straight, when bent to 90 degrees in a 6" radius the resistance on these cables go up to .25 Ohms! whereas the WB go .16 Ohms. They are going back.

Faulty RCA connectors, boooo...
Cables worked in so far as sound but the connections are faulty. I ordered two sets so it's not a one-off issue. They don't hold when inserted into the female ports of any of my equipment, not the preamp or the CD player or the Bluesound streaming unit. They held for about a day (actually they didn't feel like they gripped right from the start but I was able to play music) and then one day I turn everything on and the left channel is not producing sound. I checked the amp meters and sure enough, no signal. Obvious next step was to check connections and I find one barely attached. Soon as I started touching the others they literally slipped off and could not be re-seated. Sucks, now I have to return them. Guess I either need to go back to the cheap $5 ones I used as a stop gap (new system, hadn't got all my cables sorted) or pony up for better. I'd love Cardas, Tara labs, or Nordost but those are waaaay spendy. But, given I'm already in $20k on components, speakers, and speaker cables I should just finish the job.Yes, I know my system is very expensive. It sounds like Angels jamming in my listening space and will last me 30 years like the last system which is more than a car ever will. Besides, I love, love, love music and worked hard for the money spent so... To each his own.

great entry into silver-plated copper cables
I love silver plated copper cables: they brighten up the sound and have a bit more detail. These are made in the USA so you know you are getting exactly what is advertised: some of the Chinese brands aren't always honest about what they are selling. These are sturdy, well made cables with precise connectors and a consistently detailed sound. You can pay more, but you're not going to get better quality than this.Compared to the super value Monoprice Premium RCA cables, which are oxygen-free copper and the cheapest RCA cables I would use, Better Cables gives you better connectors and a slightly better sounding cable, but for 5 times the price. Compared to Blue Jeans Cables, the quality of the cable and connectors is the same, but for 50% more money you get the slightly brighter sound of silver coated copper. Compared to my absurdly expensive Nordost and Cardas cables, Better Cables offer slightly less energy and detail, but the premium cables cost at least 10 times more and are thick, stiff, and with clunky connectors that don't fit all equipment.Really, all RCA cables sound 95% the same, as long as the connectors fit snugly and the cables are at least made from 100% copper. But if you want to try out silver-coated copper, these are probably the best value ones I would recommend.

The Silver Serpent fully meets expectations
The Silver Serpent is my very first audio cable with silver, aside from my Monitor Audio Silver 8 speakers’ internal silver-plated oxygen-free copper cabling, and aside from my experiment of using two AudioQuest Cinnamon coaxial cables, which have some silver, as the left and right channels of the analog audio connection, which is admittedly suboptimal and the AudioQuest rep I spoke to strongly objected to doing that. Anyway, I kind of had the idea of the effect of silver in cables. The Silver Serpents replaced my trusted AudioQuest Big Sur interconnects. Will the Silver Serpent in the long run remove any urge I may get to go back to the Big Sur, the time will show. Here is what is different with the Silver Serpents after only several hours of listening, compared to the Big Sur: There is a little more air at the top of the midrange and treble with the Silver Serpent. This is where my expectations have been fully met - some more airiness - It makes my audio system a little more pleasant at very low volumes. The bass is a bit more convincing, but is not bigger or deeper. I find it hard to explain the bass difference. I still think that the midrange is very little more impactful with the Big Sur. Both these kinds of cables are very neutral and very free of harshness. But, my Silver Serpents are still far from being fully settled in the system like the Big Sur that has been in for years, and the comparison is not completely fair. Now, if we compare the typical recent prices of the Silver Serpent and the Big Sur, the Silver Serpent wins a big time as it is approximately at 60% of the Big Sur price - would you like a fantastic banana or a beautiful orange?Would I buy one more pair of the Silver Serpents? I will figure that out by the next week when they have fully settled in my system …. if the stocks last that long, of course.Should anybody wonder, my Silver Serpents are between a Yamaha NP-S303 network audio player and a Cambridge Audio CXA60 amplifier, connected via the AudioQuest Rocket 44 speaker cables to the Monitor Audio Silver 8 speakers. Aside from the gently polished Yamaha, the system delivers a rather blunt truth.

Excellent performance for the money for a cable with silver
Its no secret that interconnects or cables made with some silver do sound way better than just a copper cable. The sound really opens up with this cable, as a cheap cable will not sound as airy, precise, and spacious, let alone a better bass response. My go to cables with silver is sold by signal cable in the US but cost $100 US for 3 feet. So this cables, is a lot less and has very similar sound characteristics at a very good price.Interconnects can cost more than a 50 inch 4k color TV and easily more... This cable is good enough !

Well, that was a mistake..
First of all, I don't exactly have what you would call a "audiophile" of hi-fi setup. More like, higher end recreational. Anyway, I recently upgraded my preamp and a few other things, wanted to upgrade my cables. Long story short, HOLY CRAP I ONLY GOT ONE SET OF CABLES. I think by using the word "pair" in the product headline is what confused me. I was expecting to get 2 pairs I guess, not 2 cables. So I just spent over 70 bucks on 1.5 feet of stereo cable. I am stubborn so I won't return them. Instead I will likely upgrade my entire stereo system to match the quality of these cables. No doubt, these are some high quality wires, just be sure you know you're only getting one.. I'm pretty sure my RCA cable is worth more than my cartridge!! FML..

Very Impressed
I purchased Four one (1) meter pairs and Two pairs of Two (2) meter , Better Cables , Silver Serpent interconnects .They are of good weight , solidly manufacture and present themselves very well. I have now had an opportunity to break these interconnects in over the last several weeks.Over many years of being a audiophile I have tried many different brand name cables of varying expense only to be disappointed by a differing degrees of manufactured coloration.I am pleased to report that my new Silver Serpent interconnects have blown me away. They lack coloration in large part , they are very natural and produce a very detailed full sound stage. To top it all off Better Cables Customer Service is just what others have reported “Excellent “I’m impressed and very satisfied with my purchase !
