which is fine, except for those few that didn't turn out
I didn't give this book a five because there are some recipes I tried that didn't turn out. It's so old that the author doesn't have a YouTube channel to demonstrate the recipes, which is fine, except for those few that didn't turn out. Still, there were more excellent recipes than not. I use it frequently.

Highly recommend
I am on a fat free diet and this is the first cook book I bought. I absolutely love it! It is teaching me a lot of new ways to cook! I have almost cooked all the main dishes, I know what ones I like and dont like. I personally dont like all the deserts, so that would be good for someone who loves fat free or low fat deserts! I would highly recommend this cook book!

Not what I was hoping for...
I've recently been put on a fat-free diet by my GI doc. I'm looking for recipes that will work for me and still be appealing to my family. This book just didn't do it for me.

Best Cookbook Out There: Wish Woodruff would write another Cookbook!
I have two of Sandra Woodruff's cookbooks, "Secrets of Fat-Free Cooking" and the "Fat-Free Baking" cookbook, and I absolutely love both of them. I have just ordered the "Fat-Free Italian" and the "Fat-Free Dessert" cookbooks, and wish she'd write a version for German cooking as well. I especially like it that with each recipe there's a nutritional breakdown of the calories, cholesterol, fat, fiber, protein, and sodium, per serving. This is fantastic for those of us who are trying to eat a healthier diet. Even my husband loves the recipes. The only minor complaint that I have is that she doesn't include the number of CARBOHYDRATES (grams) per serving. Still, all in all, I think that her cookbooks are the BEST ones the market that I've seen.

Must have
If you are a junk food junkie like me, and you need to extremely reduce the fat in your diet to lower cholesterol or other reasons like me. This is a must have book. With the help of this book and others like it, I was able to lose 25lbs. in five months (and keep it off), and I lowered my total cholesteral by 56 pts.! By using these recipes, I was able to "pig out" and still achieve my goals. I didn't feel cheated out of not having junk food. I also read labels...lots of labels and didn't eat anything that had more than 4% total fat in it.

Not for Everyday Chef's
The recipes were of foods I will never cook, thought I was getting like everyday meals. But did have many facts and ideas on fat free cooking I use the facts daily now, just not the recipes. Also would have given a higher star but this used book was gross. The cover was so dirty like it had been around a stove and grease for years. I ened up throwing it away because I couldn't get the sticky feeling off the cover.

My go to cook book
Light and Lazy Lasagna is so easy to make and very yummy. Also, the Eggplant Lasagna and Chicken Parmesan. I highly recommend this book for anyone wanting to eat good food without the fat. The book gives you little tips on how to cut down on calories and fat through cooking techniques which is very helpful. I also like the "Secrets of Fat-Free Baking" which I also purchased and have learned ways to cut down in baked goodies.

Not what I expected
I was disappointed with this book as it is more for the American market rather than the English, as some products I've never heard of

Good but American
Very nice and motivating book. Some recipes are simple variations of each other but still fun to try. The reason I'm giving this book 3 stars is that I find many ingredients (and their alternatives!) are unavailable in the UK.

Awesome Low Fat Recipes
I recently ordered this book. I have the Secrets of Low Fat Baking which has some good recipes. I have a medical condition that means I need to keep my fat grams to less than 20 per day. This book is fantastic. I have made at least 5 recipes so far and all 5 have been spectacular. I am looking forward to making my way through the rest of the recipes as I do not feel they will be at all disappointing. If you are like me and have to make a change this is a great starting point.
