I'd like to think of myself as a pretty handy-woman, however I do have my girly moments where I'd rather have a man do it for me... I picked up gardening as a hobby recently, and although it'd be a DREAM to have my boyfriend also be interested in my new passion, he thinks of it as a chore and can't be bothered. Instead, I decided to roll up my sleeves - channel my inner "tool girl" and do everything myself. Luckily, I've been successful with all my attempts thus far and this purchase helped with this IMMENSELY. You just screw it in and the first few uses, the black knobs to control each valve are a bit stiff, but it'll loosen up over time and more use. My future mother-in-law has weak hands and she is able to flip the switch to use the regular water to hose off any areas the dog may have peed or to hose down the car. I bought extra rubber washers since many reviewers spoke so highly of them, but to tell you the truth, the one that is already in the designed product is enough to prevent leakage on its own. I guess I just have a bunch of replacements to use when it dies... Once I set up a green house, I'll probably purchase another so I can rig up a sink and rain wand out in the backyard. Great product, great service, excellent follow up from the company and I couldn't ask for more.

I am one of those people who sit down with the user guide or manual when I get a new product so for sure I watched all three of the videos about this connector. I thought they were completely charming and gave me a great big grin. In fact I laughed a lot, they were so quaint. See if you agree with me. Anyway, I wasn't sure the connector was going to work. It said in the video not to tighten with anything but your hands but I found it hard to get my fingers in there to tighten it properly. However I finally did get it tightened enough that it stopped dripping and it hasn't dripped since. I followed the instructions on loosening the valve thingies (at least I think that is the technical term) and they turn to the on and off positions just fine now. Yep, I'm pretty pleased with this purchase and the price was fair. I found the connector I had before after this one was already installed, but I'm still glad I bought this brand as it works better.

I've bought a number of 2-way hose connectors over the years, and they've always been disappointing in some way. With this experience, I my expectations were not high for the Green Thumb version, but I was pleasantly surprised. This is a solid, well designed piece of hardware. The connecting nut is large enough that it can be hand tightened to make a leak-free joint. The 2 ball valves operate smoothly, although initially it's a bit stiff. Backyard Garden Pros recommends a squirt of WD-40 into the valve for easier operation and I found that this helps. A tip of the hat to Backyard Garden Pros. the vendor for this product. They not only included detailed information with the hardware, but followed up my Amazon purchase with a couple of emails that included even more information and tips to get the best from the connector.

The construction of the unit is good, the splitter valve handles appear to be plastic, but are durable. They are somewhat stiff to open. The other thing is the bore in the brass splitter is somewhat small so it does reduce the water flow to the hoses. The gasket is good, so it doesn't leak. It works well overall, good choice for me.

Works like a charm. Well-crafted, high-quality materials and workmanship. Relatively smooth turning movement (not as easy-to-turn as I'd like, but it'll resist any accidental turn-ons). The compression fitting (hose bib connector) works very well, easy to screw on and not the slightest bit of leaking. I've been using it on a daily basis for a little less than a week now and really appreciate it's ease of use - compared to the chore of unhooking/rehooking my single hose from the hose bib. Wonder why it took me so long to purchase this! EDIT: 8 months later and it's still working perfectly. Very happy with my purchase.

Product 10/10 Seller 1/10 (TL;DR Seller sends a ton of e-mails asking you to give feedback/review) So in the light of typical product reviews I typically never write small reviews for an item so small. Because this was a purchase that was something to save me a trip to Lowes and save the time it would of normally taken to drive there for a 10$ part. The product arrived and it was great. Worked as expected, no leaks. There was even a small instruction sheet included to explain how the valve works. Excellent. Everything I expected of the knob. So yes, the product works, its Great quality. Why the 3 star review? Because i have now circumvented the entire reason for buying this part on Amazon. The main reason was to save time, now i am wasting time writing this review. I only am writing it because i kept receiving Emails from the seller "Backyard Garden Pros" to leave feedback. The typical Amazon feedback request emails aside, Backyard Garden Pro's have sent 2 separate emails requesting i leave feedback for this 2 way Valve. Please refrain by badgering your buyers into leaving reviews. In doing so you will receive reviews such as this only to degragate the reputation of your own store. I get that as a store you operate on a feedback based model. That i get, and as a buyer i will leave feedback based entirely on the quality of the item only for 2 reasons. 1. The the product was exceptionally great and customer service went above and beyond to assist me if i had any issues. 2. If the product is absolute garbage. In this case, the product is phenominal and the customer service is garbage as I am being bothered to write a review for a 10$ part that isnt even cheaper than the one at a local retailer. The item isnt superior than what i expected, the handles and the hose connection knob are both plastic, which will probably crack over time and Ill have to buy another. But there was no reason for me to need to leave feedback. And knowing how HARD these sellers work for their feedback score i will probably receive another e-mail regarding this review and pleading to change it. Which I wont. Please stop harassing your buyers with such a frivolous request and wasting the bandwidth to send emails for it. You want us to really appreciate you as a seller and leave feedback? Include something that sets you apart from your counter parts, send a couple extra washers with it and include a message that even though it wasn't originally included, but I am sure i would of been more apt to leave a full positive review WITHOUT your interaction if you did something out of the ordinary. That aside. Sorry for your luck, sorry im in a bad mood. Cut out the e-mails.

Great splitter! This is a really nice size, super easy to use and screws onto my main hose outlet great. I recommend this over some others because the screw turns around the hose outlet on this one. With some (my other one) you have to turn the whole unit to screw it on. The other unit will not screw in tight enough o my main hose because you can't turn just the part you need. I know that doesn't seems to make a lot of sense but, bottom line: this one is really nice. I'll probably replace my other one with another of these. I have two garden beds and a regular hose hooked up to this. This splitter has the regular hose on one and a timer on the other. After the timer I have another splitter so I ca water the garden beds which are each on a soaker hose. It sounds more complex than it is. :)

I definitely recommend them to orhers and will so advise my friends as well. *******Original review: I have two main uses for the outdoor hose bib on the side of my house - (1) to hook up the hose for basic watering needs of the garden, car washing, etc. and (2) to run a soaker hose along fifty - sixty feet of my wife's rose bushes. While there are many plastic options available on the market for changing a single faucet into two (so that I don't need to keep changing the connection at the faucet between the garden hose and the soaker hose), this very sold brass unit is like a permanent extension of the hose bib turning one into two. It is so solid (and comparable in price to the plastic ones) that I wish my original hose bib had been made of the same material and quality.
