After reading a lot of reviews about 48" shop lights and the multiple one-star reviews having to do with damage in transit, broken pull switches, and short-lived operation, I was skeptical about ordering anything. On my third search I found these and took a chance based on the reviews. The box arrived today, contents intact, and I couldn't wait to try one out. Slipping one of the lights out of the plastic I layed it on it's back, bulb side up, plugged it in, and without really thinking pulled the beaded switch cord....good God this thing is bright!!!!! I turned it off and just stood there laughing at how ridiculously simple and effective this light is. It's literally plug and play, couldn't be easier to mount (mounted 3 lights in less than 5 mins), and now there's a really well-lit corner of my basement that's screaming for a new shop area to be built. A truly delightful surprise :))))

I work with electronics and am overall pretty handy, but I need somewhere to spread out and work on projects. Unfortunately I've been told our dining room table is not the place for such things and have been given my pick of the unfinished upstairs which is rather cold and drafty, or the equally unfinished basement. So I went with the basement. Sadly neither place has adequate lighting, with two bare bulbs in the basement and only the one upstairs it has proven difficult to just see much less get anything finicky worked on, that's where these come in. My goodness are these super bright! In a good way! I was looking at similar LED shop lights at my local super center with the same lumen count and wasn't sure if that was overkill or not. Trust me, it makes a world of difference compared to a single LED 60w equivalent. I can see! I can work! Another bonus over the big box store units is that these can be daisy-chained together, unfortunately where I needed the lights at they aren't quite able to link up, but that's nothing a short extension cord can't fix. I like the fact that the LEDs are encased in rounded tubes to make them look more like traditional fluorescent bulbs and to help defuse the light. Others I've looked at have the bare LED strip visible and that to me personally is rather ugly and unfinished looking. They get slightly warm to the touch, which is understandable as every LED light I've ever owned has been the same. The only hiccup is that one of the cup hooks broke as I was trying to install it. Not sure how it happened but I had a spare in my toolbox so it wasn't a big issue. I do kinda wish it came with chain so I could adjust the height of the lights easier, perhaps even a paper template to help you put the pilot holes into your ceiling. I like the dedicated pull chain on each one. Although it would also be great if there was a way to make them always on so you could hook them up to be controlled by a light switch. (I could probably figure that out by myself though if i poked around inside) Overall these are fantastic and I will definitely be buying more to outfit the upstairs as well whenever we get around to finishing it.

WOW!!! I have 3 of these Bad Boys currently on the ceiling of my garage. WOW!!! I can see into every nook and cranny in the entire garage. It's a funny kind of BRIGHT! They illuminate without being blinding. These are the first LED's I have ever owned. To say I was impressed after living with those flickering, cold natured fluorescent lights all these years has to be the understatement of the century. Lightweight, SUPER EASY to hang, better light, cheaper to use, longer lasting....if you are still living with the old school fluorescent lights do yourself a favor and switch over. You will be like me wondering why out took so long!

Plug in and pull chain, Simple operation. Comes with the hardware to install a few different ways. No deflector which affects the performance compared to last set from another provider. Brightness levels are fine but limited spacing the lights too far apart. Very light weight and this makes installation very easy by one person. With this purchase of 4 fixtures and 8 prior purchased that are the same lumens my 20x20 shop with 15 foot peak ceiling is adequately lit, I am under the opinion that I may need to add another 8 four foot fixtures or at least 2 of the eight foot fixtures.

Fantastic lights!!!!!! Put one in laundry room and it is brighter than the 3 fluorescents put together. Put it up myself, husband arrived as I was finishing. So light weight and easy to install. So bright it actually startled me for a few days whenever I flipped the light on but now I can see any stains to treat before I wash clothes. Only used 2 for garage, also replaced 4 fluorescents. Now I have an extra but will definitely find a place for it. Probably over water heater and sump pump in basement so you can actually see what you're doing. That's a bonus I hadn't planned on. Don't know how long they'll last but they're sure great now. Came quickly and very well packaged with hangers and instructions. Definitely recommend to anyone who's tired of poorly lit areas.

I installed four of these yesterday in my two-car garage. I have a switched outlet in the ceiling so with one plugged into that outlet, the other three are linked from one to the next. The 5' long cord on each is great. I was a bit concerned the light might be too harsh at 5,000k - it isn't. Pretty much the same light as daylight. I like that the light is even (frosted) throughout the length of the tube. Very easy to hang using the screw anchors and 6 inch cables. At $83 for 4 lights and the fittings, the price is great.

The good thing about these lights is that they provided me with the bright lights that I needed in my garage. The bad thing about the lights is that it showed me just how unorganized and dirty my garage is. I could not believe how much the lighting changed after installing these lights. Well worth the money for large garages or workshops. I can finally see!!. Be careful of how you handle the lights when installing them. The housing is very thin and flimsy but it's not like you'll touch them after installation.

I purchased this 4 pack of LED lights to add lighting to my dimly lit crawl space. They were just what the doctor ordered. Each unit produces a wealth of bright white light. They are light weight and hang easy with the supplied hardware. My father, who helped on the crawl space renovation project, was so impressed he wanted some for his wood shop. I ordered him a set as a "Thank You" present. I'm considering buying a 3rd set to replace the florescents in my garage since they are significantly brighter. I had read a few reviews about the units buzzing. I have noticed no such sounds from any of mine. I had also read about possible radio interference I haven't used a regular radio around them but had no issue with Bluetoothing to my speaker all week while I reinsulated the area.
