Tough little snapline, works like it should.what else do you want me to say.
Great value for the money I would stand behind this as it backs up and believe me I don't take it lightly that pianos don't play themselves. Thanks again to Amazon for selling great product like this. It didn't but it did but I used it in the wrong way and it bit me. So I slapped it, it cried and ran away is that enough words for you Amazon can I go home now

It's a chalk line. It does exactly what it's supposed to do.
Filled it and pulled the line out, but the chalk didn't quite fill the line at first, so I filled it with a good bit of the string out and rolled it back up. Worked great from then on. It's a solid product.

Decent low end chalk line tool
String: The line itself is a cotton string. This is fine for occasional use. If you use it a lot, its more likely to wear down and break. But for many DIYers or hobby builders, this will be sufficient. If you want a tool that will last for 30 years and you hand down to your kids, get a nylon string.Filling with chalk dust was pretty easy, but even though its supposed to be a no spill container, I left little blue circles of chalk dust when I set the tool down.It was also not something i would recommend using on your own. You can lock the tool so it stays at a certain length, but its by moving the lever that you use to reel in the string. Since that requires some movement, its not like you can easily lock it while holding without potentially moving your chalk line.Anyway, for an occasional use tool, this is a decent buy and a good addition to your tool box.

Worked perfectly!
Inexpensive, simple to use and worked perfectly! Gave me professional results. The generous amount of blue chalk included will last a very long time.

Basic chalk box. Works well but slightly bulky.
This chalk box is fair. It works and that's all that truly matters. The design is ugly, the box is almost too large. The twisted line really helps to get s nice chalk absorption. For the cost this is a great product but the design could be improved. Very basic.

Sturdy and dependable
I use this 4 or 5 times a week while at the golf driving range and practice putting green. I like to put chalk lines down for alignment purposes and this items has proven to be quite durable. I recommend it.

IRWIN & AMAZON; ANOTHER GREAT COMBINATION
Irwin tools have been the choice as long as I can remember. This caulk box works flawlessly leaving a visible line without powder residue. Keep it dry and only half full of chalk for the best results.

No Reel Release
As you draw out line the crank handle spins around. A properly designed line disengages the crank from the reel when you squeeze the handle against the body, like the Starrett line (unfortunately discontinued). Not worth refunding at this price, so I just tossed it in the trash.
