Perfect size pad -- STILL love it
This euphonium pad is the perfect size. I use it with all the pads in just the way it came (tall male player), but some pads can be removed to make it smaller. It is the right amount of stickiness to hold the instrument but allow me to move as I need to. It is also small enough to fit into my music bag, but not into the case. It also is too large to fit into the bell for storage. I tried a few other solutions including the ergo brass, but for me this one is cheap and effective. Try it!…. you will not be disappointed *** Update -- been using for six months. Still LOVE IT. Nice and firm and the perfect size for me ***

Expensive but worth it
This feels like it should be 20 bucks but I'll give them that it's really well made and it doesn't feel like a cheap piece of crap that will fall apart in a couple of months. Even that 50 felt a little too much at the beginning, I was willing to try it after getting sick and tired of using rolled towels, pillows, stuffed animals, the cat, and everything fluffy I could use for support. The anti-slippery surface really works, the euph won't move an inch unless you lift it, it will not slide anywhere, and the pad grips unto your clothing as well. I definitely recommend it. I thought I could do one myself but after realizing that I was going to have to go all around town to tons of different stores searching for the materials or dealing with buying everything online and have to wait for four different packages to arrive (and pray that one of them doesn't involve FedEx) and having to deal with the sewing and measuring I felt that I was going to be spending about the same, so thought this was easier. Excellent product.

adjustable and eas to clean.
Weall have different sized bodies. This pillow cushion is a medium size purse with five foam pads about ½"high. Adjust to your comfort zone by adding or removing pads to fit. The purse has a sturdy zipper and hand strap and spaded on one side and grippy flat surface on the other. I have seen many styles of lap pillows over the years from fancy custom cushions to home-made varieties as well as yoga blocks and stuffed socks! I like this design because of its versatility and comfort during long rehearsals and its water-resistance surface.

Perfect for my Euphonium
I love this item! It's the perfect height for me to put my euphonium on when I'm playing without taking out any of the foam, I kept it as is out of the box. It's great, love the non slip fabric, great size, feels like it's made well. Really happy with my purchase. It's a lot better than my headphone case stuffed with towels because the surface is more even. With the towels it was an uneven surface which I didn't like.

The Best Euphonium Accessory for Seated Playing
Euphonium players have struggled for years to take the strain off the left arm while keeping the instrument at a proper height when sitting while playing. This lap pad has made my life so much easier! It is a remarkable improvement over the solutions many of us have tried (pegs, pillows, etc.). It supports the weight of the instruments, which our previous solutions did. But this is much more practical for actual use in various situations. The top surface is non-slip to the euphonium won't slide around unexpectedly as you play. The bottom is almost like a suede material, and stays put even on my slippery micro-fiber slacks. It is adjustable for height because the padding is in layers and can be removed. (I actually added an addition piece of thin foam inside mine because I need a lot of height.) And it's great when you need to stand quickly for bows - you can plop it on your music stand and it perches nicely there (my previous rolled-up towel solution would invariably fall off the stand). I've used mine for several years with no signs of wear. However, I depend on it so much that I just bought a new one to keep around in case I lose the one I'm using! Highly recommended.

Useful
Works well for my euphonium and tuba. Quality is strong with a year in of use. My only complaint? Price is very high in my opinion for a glorified pillow. Have not tried the more affordable version but might try it when this eventually wears out. If you don’t play everyday this will last a long time. I’d still recommend it to my students.

Well worth the money
First off let me say that the order arrived very quickly! Secondly, it’s very close to exactly as described. Please don’t misunderstand, the only visual difference would be the graduated removable "inner" pads that can be used to customize each pad. In my honest opinion the product description doesn’t do this product justice. For beginners, the outer sewn sheath/fabric that contains the removable pads! This is a well thought out material. I find that it provides "traction" "grip" to your pants and to the horn itself. Thereby creating confidence that your Euphonium is secure from slipping away from you during practice or performance. The fabric pouch of which I speak seems to be very well sewn! Thick stitching that looks to be done by an industrial grade machine. As for the price, I very much respectfully disagree with a fellow reviewer! It is priced very appropriately for what you’re getting. There is NO WAY you could "source’ the material, sew the stitching as well and make it under 3 hours for the asking price. And that length of given time is being very generous. My personal time and what I would make in the 2-3 hour time in $$$ would be able to justify at least the asking price which I believe to be a bargain. I will be suggesting this item to all my students and professional musician friends. Give it a try a you will agree.

Expensive, Doesn’t Fit in Case but Works Well
This item works perfect for my son while playing his euphonium. It boosts his instrument up a bit to help with his posture. It also looks nice, especially for concert performances. Inside are several foam inserts of varying thickness so they can be taken out to adjust for height. The pad retains it’s shape even when in his backpack and can take it well. However, it does not compress well to fit in the instrument case which I certainly wish it did. This ups the chance of it getting lost. Overall, it is very pricey for what it is. In hindsight, I would have made him one that’s not only cheaper but that will be supportive and compress to fit in his euphonium instrument case.
