Orange (red factor) birds will grow red feathers. Stop use after moulting is done.This video was taken after moult. Both birds were solid yellow (crested had brown crest). The orange feathers are the new feathers that grew in while being fed the product. I started dosing these birds late in their moult cycle, so some yellow feathers grew before the product was in their system. Hence the patchy lookDO NOT OVERDOSE and do not use year round. I've used this for about a month now and my canaries are a beautiful color red. Highly recommend. I give a scoop of this in a small steel dog bowl every other day as not to overdose the canaries plus I give them fresh plain water once a week with beet slices every day and I must say I'm extremely pleased with how vibrant their color is.

I tried mixing it in his water, food, even sprinkled it on his favorite snacks like lettuce and egg yolk. He refuses to eat anything with the red stuff on it. Can't really make a review about it's effectiveness because he just won't eat it.UPDATED: 05-14-19My canary finally took a liking to it and started eating it daily. He recently started molting and now he has red spots on his chest. His mother was a red factor and father yellow. I was hoping his mother's side would prevail but no such luck. So in short, it'll work. But your canary HAS to be red a factor.

I bought this to help me get my fire bellied toads to actually have fire bellies. I dust their feeders with it, and they eat it, do I guess it tastes good lol. It definitely works and my fire bellies have such red bellies now!

This is an amazing product! I decided to switch to this because my red factor canaries didn't always eat the powder in the egg food mix.The instructions are not great, so I did some trial and error. What worked best for my birds was mixing the teeny tiny scoop (comes in the bottle) with 1 Gallon of water! Just tinged the poop red. One scoop barely made a dent in the product. I am very, very happy with it. Birds had no problem converting over to red water.Great product. Will purchase again.

Many of the color enhancers out there are next to impossible to get to devolve. This mixes well in drinking water. My mosaic canary was molting and his new growth is nice and colorful like he is supposed to be.
