Great Bib Overalls!
These are tough overalls! I was on the fence between these and the classic denim overalls, glad I chose these. The fabric was stiff at first, but after the first wash the fabric became softer, with no shrinking and more comfortable. The two chest pockets will not fit an iPhone in them, but the zipper pocket will. The front slash pockets are small but I don’t use those anyway. The suspender straps are elastic/canvas and seem durable; they don’t dig on the shoulders even after wearing all day. Leg side pockets and hammer loop are very useful. I chose the size 38, 5’7”, 200lbs and I have room to squat, kneel and climb, there’s plenty of room in legs and waist. I recommend these for work wear.

The Good Stuff
Okay so I’ve had these for about six weeks now or possibly longer depending on how you count the week I left them in my truck and felt guilty about it. The bib fits my chest which is a chest. Five pockets including the hammer loop which I have never used for a hammer but have used for a pen, a broken pen, and once a fairly large concern I had about the municipal water supply of Groanwich-upon-Damp that I couldn’t put down anywhere else. The duck canvas is — and I want to be precise here — correct. It is the correct weight. You know how sometimes a fabric feels like it’s apologizing to you? These don’t do that. These fabrics have resolved something internally. I respect that. My coworker Phyllobscene said they looked “like you mean business” and I said “what business” and she didn’t answer and I think about that a lot now. I have worn them in 14°F and in a greenhouse in August and in a situation I am not going to describe but which required me to be on a roof and also very calm. They performed. The overalls performed. I don’t know what I did but the overalls were solid. Docking one star because I put my hand in the chest pocket and found myself thinking about the concept of load-bearing in a way that I don’t think the product intended and now I can’t stop. The pocket is fine. I am fine. Something has shifted. Would recommend to a friend or a reasonable facsimile thereof.

True to size
These are good quality and the size is true to size my husband is 6"4 300lbs finding things that fit is so hard. Will order again and again. Came a little stiff after a few washes that went away.

Carhartt's Official Uniform for Getting Stuff Done
These bibs have seen farm chores, mud, feed bags, fence repairs, firewood, rain, and several questionable decisions. The bibs survived all of it. The duck fabric is tough, the pockets are actually useful, and the fit allows enough room to work without feeling like you're wrapped in a canvas sleeping bag. They break in over time and somehow get more comfortable while still looking ready for a hard day's work. They're warm, durable, and built with the assumption that the person wearing them intends to accomplish something. Five stars. The bibs have outlasted several pairs of gloves, a wheelbarrow tire, and my patience.

Won’t buy again
Carhart’s name is synonymous with quality and durability and these were no different. HOWEVER that’s where my interest in a second purchase ends. The duck fabric was very thick and very nice but the pockets were in odd places and the two front pant pockets hopelessly shallow. Things can easily fall out. The fit was spot on in the waist but I suggest ordering slightly longer for the inseam. Mine shrank to an almost comical length and I haven’t worn them since the first wash. I would return them but since I already washed and wore I figured that idea was out. I really liked the elastic shoulder straps very much, BUT if there is only one reason I won’t buy these again is the clips to attach to the bib. They feel thin and cheap and are very frustrating to attach and release. Was very excited to try my first pair of Carharts and was left feeling slightly nonplussed. I’ll stick with my less expensive, better fit and finish, and more utilitarian “Dickies” for overalls. I do however love most all of the other things in the carhart family and will still be a loyal consumer for everything else.

Perfect blue collar gift
Durable, thick fabric and plenty of pockets. Overall great product. They fit a bit small so I would recommend going up a size in the waist, especially if you’re planning on layering at all.

Get them for your guy! High quality!
Bought these for my guy who is 6’1 and 225lbs. with an athletic build. After reading a million reviews I went with the 36 waist x 34 length and it was absolutely perfect for him. In these photos he literally has sweat pants under them and wad able to button the sides completely. The next time he wore them he wore thermals under them with a T-shirt and they were perfect. He absolutely loves them so much. They are thick material and high quality with a lot of pocket varieties. The really need to be broken in because they are a stiff material. He says the length is perfect for his bight and when he wears them seated on his motorcycle the length will be perfect to cover the top of his boot to avoid wind going up the leg which will keep him warm. Overall the are a warm set of overalls because of the tight weave. The hooks for the overalls seem to be high quality. The hooks are the only part he doesn’t love because they are a little tougher to hook than just a regular snap style but I told him that they twist locks will last longer than a snap. I can see these lasting forever based on how they are made (hopefully).

not the usual Carhart quality
I purchased these carhart bib coverall and have used for about 2 weeks. they fit good and perform as usual and I like the large zipper pouch on the bib for my phone. problem is with the zipper and the latches that hold the bib up. Zipper gets caught at the top and i need to remove the coverall to bring it down. Not easy when your in the bathroom! and the latches that hold the bibs up do not release easy and I think that they might be bent. I have used Carhart bib coveralls for 30 years as a tradesman and this is the first pair that has given me these issues. I think I might have purchase a second quality or irregular pair? check the bib latches and zipper function before keeping these coveralls.

For a big boy, I have never felt more comfortable
Being a man of larger stature the need to have clothes that are more comfortable then the norm, these meet the standards I set, they are a quality product that stands the test of time, these are them, they remind me of products from the 70’s, when quality was the standard not the exception, the cut, the material, the colour are amazing I know this is confusing because it’s coming from a woman but I’m going the “transformation” to be a man, wearing these help me feel comfortable in my body

Wow carhart

Exactly what carhatts should be
Apparently it’s hard to find Carhartt bib coveralls right now, I found these on Amazon. The price was good and exactly what we wanted. They came fast and fit like the old ones
