Is This Lactose Free?

I have no idea-don't have the sensitivity problem. However, I stupidly bought this thinking (4 pack I think) I was getting a deal-much cheaper at WalMart, 99cents only store.

How does this compare to half & half. Is it as creamy as half & half or more creamery?

There's no comparison. Evaporated is creamier. Half and Half tastes watered down when compared. I've used Evaporated in my coffee and recipes for over 50 years. My grandmother used to add chocolate to it when I was 4 yrs old. I'm now 73. (Remember not to confuse it with "Condensed Milk" which often appears in a similar can.) Also, make sure it is NOT the "Non-Fat." After all, you're going for full rich flavor.

This milk has a creamy white color.
