I bought these dual lavalier mics to shoot an interview. they were connected to a Sony FDR-AX53 video camera using the "MIC IN" input on the camera. i tested the mics separately on 4 different devices (Sony recorder, Safa recorder, Laptop and iphone) the sound quality is good and surprising for the price. i am no sound expert, but have tried different mics and these do a very good job at recording people talk. the kit is (almost) everything you need: 2 mics with long cables, two long extention cables, 2 pairs of wind muffs, an adapter from TRRS to TRS (very important for compatibility with different devices!) and a Y cable for connecting two mics to the same input, which is mostly what this kit is meant for. if you buy this i guess you want to record two people talking so what is important to know is: 1. the Y cable will record both mics on the same channel, they will not be separated to Left and Right channels! what this means is if one speaker is louder than the other you will have no option of mixing/editing/amplifying a specific speaker! 2. not only do they record on the same channel, the sound is recorded on only one channel (Left) and the right channel is silent. this means that if you want to have your video/audio coming from both speakers when you play it - you will have to do a little editing and duplicate left channel to right. that is fairly easy done but still should be known. there is a solution for the first problem, if you want to record 2 mics, each on its own separate channel. you will need what is called a "breakout cable" which is a Y cable which is designed for that. i bought one of these with the mics but had another issue. since the mics have a TRRS connection and the breakout cables usually have a TRS input, you will two adapters from TRRS to TRS (you only get one in the kit) so think about your setup and devices and check what inputs they accept (TRRS or TRS) before you buy.

I had some issues using this on a Zoom H6 recorder with adapters, but emailed support at PowerDeWise. The support I got was absolutely excellent - fast, polite, and EXTREMELY detailed. The problem was sorted and I was able to use these microphones no problem. I now have the microphones working with my iPad perfectly. Excellent microphones, excellent support, and excellent price.

I bought this to work with a Roland SP-404MK2 Sampler. Everything I tried to get it working has been unsuccessful. If I could rewire it, maybe that might help, but I would require some info regarding the content but nothing exists.

The tone balance on these tends to be warm and well expressed lower mid range. Consequently voices sound engaging and inclusive. Especially good for male vocals but also actually very effective for all voice types. Wish the clips were slightly better made. But small issue at this amazing value.

Bought this interview lavaliere mic set after watching reviews on you tube and am very pleased with the quality of sound for a budget price.All tucks away in a supplied pouch for easy storage and excellent component quality.A+++++

This is a good basic interview set for 2 participants - just what I was looking for to do my research interviews. It's easy to set up using my phone (lightening to head phone jack not included for iPhones) and can operate with the voice memo facility to record. No other apps needed. The sound quality is basically the same as if you record straight onto the phone but the advantage of using the mics with this set is that you can sit further apart and not worry about whether the interview is being picked up clearly enough. I haven't tried it outside yet but using the mics closely should make it work without problems. Mic wind filters provided. This is good value for money and does the job I wanted it to do.
