This medication helped relieve my stomach pain and gas. It tastes like mint, it is not greasy, and the texture is much better than Tums. It works really well.

After years of tums, gaviscone, and everything else on the market, I always return to Pepcid chewables. Good flavor, not as chalky as other alternatives, and the flavor is refreshing and quite good. These give me the long-lasting relief from heartburn that I look for. (I know that sounds EXACTLY like a commercial, but it's true). Once I switched to Pepcid, I've never bought anything else except in a pinch. It's just a pity their price has gotten increasingly high over the years. Still worth it, though!

During the last decade I had a lot of issues with acid reflux. Here are some of the products that I tried to deal with it: • Tums: These work fast, but they only last for about an hour. That's definitely not long enough. • Prilosec: This works well, but you have to take it for a few days before it begins to work. Also, the instructions indicate that you should only take it for 15 days at a time. There are also some possible long-term side effects if you take Prilosec for a long period of time: Bone fractures, gut infections, and a vitamin B12 deficiency. • Regular Pepic AC: This drug is great! It works in about 30 minutes, and keeps away acid reflux for about half a day. There are no significant side effects. This is my new favorite! • Pepcid Complete: This drug is like a combination of Pepcid AC and Tums. It has the regular Pepcid ingredient that keeps acid under control for hours, but it also has ingredients like those in Tums that immediately suppress acid. This way you knock out the acid right away, but it also doesn't come back for several hours. There are no significant side effects. In summary, take regular Pepcid AC if you can plan ahead by 30 minutes, and take it before you eat. However, if you need some relief right away, get Pepcid Complete.
