I have had another cell phone holder that you squeeze the side in but it never held the phone in great and had to use 2 hands to remove it all the time. This Torras Magnetic Car Mount is awesome. To me it is different from the others. It is not wide and it does not block the air vent. The company is awesome. I had questions about a few of the car mounts and Nancy in TORRASCare is sooooo awesome and very informative and helpful. She suggested this one and it is absolutely great. So easy to install , does not block anything and the magnet is really strong and holds my iphone 8 plus really good. This is my company to go with and their products are great. I have gotten several Ring Holders from them as well . I TOTALLY recommend this product and the company on other products as well.

**UPDATE** to my previous review... Now the whole unit decided it didn't want to stick on the dashboard anymore. And one of the knobs won't stay tightened. Sorry, but this product is terrible.I bought this car mount because I wanted my phone to hang down from my dash and not my windshield. It does that well and the suction is good. However, the piece that actually holds my phone is terrible. It will not stay in place. It's extremely loose and my phone constantly faces down, not matter how many times I adjust it. I've thought about gluing that piece so that it will stay in place but I shouldn't have to do that...At the time of purchase, I was trying to decide between this product and another one, maybe I should've went with that one...I gave this product 3 stars because of the appearance and the suction only.

Product comes assembled and ready to use! I was also impressed with the suction power and magnetic power this mount had. I placed it on my windshield and had a rough time taking it off as it wouldn't budge ( I also forgot to lift the small flap the cup had to release pressure 😂).I am able to place the arm anywhere flat on my car.Happy with my purchase, and thanks for the good product.

I've had this phone mount for about 3 months now. I loved it for the first three weeks, then it fell off the dash. Since that first time, it's like the suction power was just diminished and started falling off every 2-3 days. About a week ago, the magnetic piece that you attach the phone to won't stay stable, no matter how tightly I adjust the screw on the side. I attach the phone and it sinks to face the floorboards no matter what I do. Pretty disappointing.UPDATE 7/22/2019: So it turns out I'm an idiot. There is the screw on the side that adjusts tension, but yesterday as I was getting the phone mount out of my car to throw it away, I saw/remembered there is also a nut just behind the magnetic piece that adjusts tension. The one on the side is for the arm, the one behind the magnetic piece is for the uh, magnetic piece. Go figure. It's more narrow than the piece itself so it's not visible from the dash or windshield unless you're holding it. Anyway, I adjusted that, stuck it on the dash again and it worked perfectly, which made me super happy. That doesn't change that it's falling off the dash every 2-3 days, but when I reinstalled it this time I tried to get as much suction as I could, so fingers crossed that helps. At any rate, I'll experiment and if I figure out something that works I'll update this review and adjust it to five stars.

I loved this mount and how well the phone would secure on the magnet, BUT then less than two months later the mount and cell phone came crashing down from the dashboard area. I had attached the sticky part directly on a long flat metallic object cleanly on first try so sticky area was full strength. Now since it fell once I cleaned the sticky side as per directed and tried to reattach and never lasts more than 10-20 minutes without crashing down. I have tried ever single surface in the dash area to no avail. SO in short this product work well initially but the weak point of this product is that it will not continue to stick to a dash or window for longer than a few months. Too Bad. I will try to reach out to support and see what they can help with and will provide an update to this review once I hear back from them.

I wanted something that would bring the Phone GPS as close to my eye as possible without having to look down ! voila :-) PS That was in the 1st week.........after that the suction wouldn't hold :-( I'd be driving.....and the the suction would give up. Fortunately no damage to my phone. I have such an old car, that I decided to permanently GLUE it using Super Glue( the only glue that would adhere to the Suction Cup), and that worked.... ;-)

I mounted this mobile phone holder to the dashboard of my mom's Lexus ES 350. It mounts to the dashboard via a suction cup that has a light adhesive on it as well. The part of the holder that attaches to the mobile phone uses a strong magnet on a rather large surface, which creates a very strong and stable hold on the phone. My mom has had no problems with the phone falling off the mount, which can be an issue with mounts that have a weak magnet, or small mounting surface. The mount has one rectangular and one circular metal piece that can be inserted inside of your phone case. Even with a rather thick case like my mom has, the hold on the phone is strong, with no slipping issues. The arm between the suction cup and magnet has the ability to make several adjustments, so you can get the exact position and angles you want. If you are looking for a VERY STABLE, high quality, suction-cup, and magnet based mobile phone holder for the car, this TORRAS model is a great choice.

I bought and installed the Magnetic Car Mount several weeks ago. I wear bluetooth able hearing aids so managing car, phone, hearing (aids), etc. can be frustrating and problematic. The mount did not stick long to the dashboard where I originally wanted it so forced me to move it to an area around radio/heater etc. I found a flat smoother service there and the mount has been terrific ever since. I am now 99% hands free and there is positive interface between the phone and hearing aids. It holds my XR iphone and is easily adjustable although I do not have need to adjust the mount very often. So happy I made this purchase!
