Mini Battenberg Cake 5Pk By Mr. Kipling (Pack of 1)

The studiness of the packaging was a bit lacking; however, the product itself arrived undamaged. These cakes are delicious and moist. I was worried about them having sat in my mailbox all day in the heat, but no noticeable issues. I look forward to having these with my afternoon tea and will be ordering more for sure.

This little cake thing was probably the best thing that has ever gone in my mouth. And a lot of things have gone in my mouth. But not like this. If the sponge on the Inside was any more moist, it would be liquid. If I could, I would unwrap the almond marzipan from the sponge and attach it to my face so I could absorb it better. And if all that wasn’t good enough, there’s a whisp of sugar that is rationed so perfectly that pissed me off. Why would you only put 5 in a package. I’m American, that’s half of what it should be. Now I have to order double.

Pretty fast shipping and came in very good condition. Great taste but I would only get them if you know you already love Battenburg and are looking for the nostalgia of having them at tea time. Otherwise, the pricing is a little rich for the quantity.

I did not read the description well enough because I thought I was getting a loaf sized cake. They are small and individually wrapped. Having said that they were delicious. I served them to friends at a tea and everyone just gobbled them up.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: great flavor delicious! Package arrived squashed and cakes were damaged! The packaging was really bad ! Expensive for what you get! Despite the squashed product they were for me and I loved them ! Cake quality: Delicious but completely damaged packaging was really bad no protection for the cakes

Loved it ,love marzipan

For the price I would expect them to be fresh and packaged nicely, especially considering the food item and its packaging, but I got a dissapointing outcome. Even though I made sure to order these closer to Christmas so that they would be fresh to give to my mom, the best by date was almost a month ago, on November 24th. It’s now December 18th. I’m extremely disappointed because I was excited to give this as a present and now it’s too late. This is completely unacceptable imo and just a waste of money and time.
