Great for measuring. Wish they were cheaper, but they do what they're supposed to.

I have a rather odd use for these. I cook prepackaged food (e.g. ramen, mac & cheese) but only want to use 1/2 or 1/3 of the package at a time. So I want to measure out the correct portion of each ingredient packet and save the rest for later. I put a weigh boat on my scale, tare it to zero, then pour in the contents of the packet. This gives me the net weight. The boat makes it easy to pour the contents back into the packet (it easily 'folds' when you pinch opposite corners together). Then I just sprinkle some out again into the boat on the scale until I get to the weight I want to use. Then each batch is perfectly seasoned. At first I discarded each boat after use, because it stains pretty easily from some powdered ingredients. But then I just started rinsing, and they now last for many meals.

Works perfectly with Gemini 20 scales. Don't waste money on weighing papers and waste time having to mess about folding them up into something that is still so floppy, your powder falls off, or has so many creases it gets lodged in them. For 15 cents each, these save you the risk of losing valuable product and are so much more convenient. Super light, but still firm and flexible. Kind of a cool combination. I will say that if you try squeezing the corners together to make a bigger "spout", do it very carefully and make sure you have a really tight grip, as I tried that once (one handed, which was silly really), and it popped right back into shape and flung product everywhere. Lesson learned. Anyway, if you do any sort of regular measuring of small amounts of powder etc, these are perfect. Buy them.

I used weigh boats in the laboratory. Recently, I realized that they are convenient for use in the kitchen. They are good for holding dry ingredients in preparation for combining for a recipe.

They are exactly as expected.
