Aico Ei3028 Mains Powered Multi-Sensor Heat & Carbon Monoxide Alarm

Great product and very easy to fit 👍

I bought this because I needed a heat rise detector in my garage following the installation of solar batteries in the garage. The Ei 3028 matches the other detectors of the same make in the house which are regarded as good quality products. The detector was easy to install but required knowledge of safe wiring as it is a mains unit. Connecting up the wiring in the unit terminal block was a little bit fiddly because the space is limited. I found it difficult working at near ceiling level to wire in the two cables required to integrate the new detector into the existing daisy chain loop to provide mains power and the interconnect to the other detectors. Tested well after installation.

As a electrical engineer these are in my opinion are the best range of smokes,heats and carbon dioxide detectors, I have them in my home and install them on all my jobs when required. Never had one fail yet.

Good product but expiry date was less than the 10 years quoted in the description. Fitted on existing EI base from older detector so very easy to change (isolating the power first of course!). Shame it wasnt as described, perhaps old stock. Tried to get support but referred to manufacturer only.

I have used these on several occasions now for different customers including myself. They're a neat and tidy option to use instead of separate heat and CO detectors. They work very well. They look neat and tidy. They are made by a great company. What's not to like.
