Spectrum: A Communicative Course in English (Workbook 1) 2nd Edition

This workbook, and the associated Student Book, is wonderful. I've been teaching English to Japanese in Japan since the mid-eighties. I've used other books, all of which were disappointing in one way or another. This book engages adult students and does not insult them with kiddie stuff. The workbook has an appropriate balance of listening, speaking, and writing. The voices on the tape are natural and give the students good listening experience.

I've been teaching with this system since the end of the 90s, it's a wonderful system to teach people to speak English FAST. Too bad it's getting outdated and they never upgraded it. Still, it's the best method I've ever used, and I've been teaching English since the beginning of the 80s.

I love this method, but when I ordered the books I did not receive the audio programs (tapes? CD's?) Please inform me how to order them. Thank you, Yolanda

The best ESL teaching method there is! I've taught countless number of other ESL books and quite frankly many deserve to get thrown away. My students love it.
