None of the prior respondents understood your question. Because AC drills do not have automatic transmissions like cars do, you need to run it at full speed for maximum efficiency and cooling and minimal motor wear. Yes, you will burn up the motor if you run it for too long under reduced voltage.

How loud is this drill compared to high rpm power drill?

It did not seem too loud to me, but I was using it outside to bore holes in the ground to plant bulbs. It is extremely powerful and I was able to bore the holes easily, even in a very rocky area.

How would this handle mixing a 5 gallon bucket of rapid set concrete?

I use mine to mix tile mortar and grout. Concrete may be too heavy to mix unless you mix it a little wet. I wouldnt use it for concrete
