Traditional Fatty Beef Biltong, High-Protein Snack, 250g

This is probably the best biltong I’ve had from Amazon, and this is my 4th type. This has just the right amount of fat to meat, it’s not too greasy or too dry. The flavour hits the taste buds just right. If you’ve had biltong from South Africa then this is the closest I’ve found 5 *****

Absolutely delicious, tasty, moist and had just the right amount of fat on. Highly recommended

Best biltong ever. Ive tried worse. This biltong is chewy and beefy, full of flavour

Would be a five star review but my own preference is for a more fatty biltong. Great quality otherwise and quite an authentic taste. Iwill be purchasing more in the future.

Don't get me wrong, this is still the best biltong I've found on Amazon, but I have been buying a kilo of this every couple of months for over a year, and I always request fatty. The last two orders I have received have had literally no fat at all. I don't want to whine, but if I knew it had no fat, I wouldn't of bought it.

Very inconsistent company. The 250g bag of fatty biltong I ordered was so good I ordered a 500g bag soon after. What a difference! Whereas the 250g was flavourful, well-textured and edged with fat, the 500g was swimming in grease with whole pieces of biltong just fat. It was slithery, tasteless and inedible. I felt sick after about 10 grams of it. I could eat no more. Quality shouldn't be a lottery. I'll try to find a company where every order can be counted on.

Oily but not wet. not much fat. The flavour is authentic though & the beef seems to be of good quality.

Lovely rich meaty flavour (along the lines of the Kruga biltong rather than the stuff I used to get from South Africa but much nicer than Kruga in my opinion) and medium texture. Lots of nice marbled fat in this latest batch (last batch had less fat so I guess it's a little pot luck depending on the cuts of meat they use but it was still very tasty). Certainly one of the best biltong brands I've tasted (your mileage may vary as everyone prefers different things) and with a nice consistency that won't put off newcomers (firm but not too hard and chewy without being in the 'wet' biltong category). Only downside is coming in 2x500g bags instead of 4x250g bags as a complete lack of willpower on my part means I finish it fast once it's opened so it's gone in two big binges rather than spread out over 4 smaller ones :) Packaging was good, nice compact cardboard sleeve protecting the packs and not the '4ft box for a shoebox sized parcel' you sometimes get. Prompt delivery as well. Thumbs up from me.
