Picked this up to use as a money gift box for a nerdy friend, and it was a hit. Instead of just handing over cash, it turned into a little challenge, which made the whole thing way more fun. The box itself looks nice and has that classic puzzle box feel to it. Not overly complicated, but enough to make someone stop and think for a bit before figuring it out. Pay attention to the compartment dimensions - it's small but it worked for what I wanted. He definitely enjoyed the process of opening it, and it got a few laughs from everyone watching. Way more memorable than a plain envelope. Build quality seems decent for what it is, and it worked smoothly without anything feeling stuck or cheap. If you’re looking for a creative way to give a gift, especially to someone who likes puzzles, this is a good option.

Yes item is exquisitely well made!! The secret compartment is big enough to put a US sized bill(s) for a fortunately pleasant surprise!?! The bill(s) are stelthfully quiet too!! ! know huh?!? It's easy to open & close once you know the unexpected witty solution!?! It's a fun presentation on my chest high dresser! I got the smaller similar but square puzzle box too, to compliment the larger rectangular puzzle box I got. Looks sweet!?! I know huh?!?

Bought this to put a giftcard in and it fits perfectly. Had to watch the video to figure out how to open. It is only a two step puzzle, which it was overall a little more in depth. Good for older children, rather than adults.

What a great way to present a gift to someone. Difficult to figure out how to open which was the idea of the gift. Had lots of fun watching them try to figure out how to open to get their gift.

I love the box. It's a simple puzzle if you know the trick. I didn't check the interior size, and bought it to put a small birthday gift inside. Turns out that it won't hold much beyond a short stack of credit cards, or a gift card. It could also hold jewelry if it wasn't thick, chunky jewelry. Maybe a number of USB drives, if they're flat enough. Anyway, I liked the box enough that I decided to keep it to give to a friend for their birthday, with an Amazon Gift Card inside. Perfect!

The puzzle box was given to an adult who figured it out with very little time. Might be harder for a child. I am guessing it would be fun for kids. The adult thought it was cute and fun though. The box is high quality though and definitely serves it function. The box is not huge but it would definitely be great for money or something small.

This was a gift to my 5 year old grandson who likes all things mechanical. It was tricky enough that he couldn't figure it out by himself, until I showed him the "secret". He was so excited that his mom and dad couldn't figure it out and he had to show them how to open it. To me, the box is only slightly tricky, so older kids would probably get bored with it pretty quick. But it is a great gift for a 5 or 6 year old who likes puzzles and figuring things out; gives them a chance to impress their parents and friends.
