After some rodents decided to use my 1980s vintage controller as a toilet and snack bar to fuel their reproductive urges. They even used the underside of the spa as a by the hour motel. I was forced to gut the old equipment after clearing out what looked like a long weekend at the mouse fraternity “lamda pissah crapah” I was faced with a dilemma… what to do with this gutless wonder. Well SPA GUTS saved the day! I love the new controller. Installed with ease and so easy to use!!! The heater works very fast and I love that it maxes out at 104 where the vintage one got the water up to 118 once. It was definitely time for a new one. I would highly recommend this controller to anyone that has had the unfortunate problem of a fraternity mouse invasion during rush week under their spa.

Just make sure the buttons on the bottom are being set at the right sensitivity. (Under side of the heater/computer unit) Other wise the spa will only run when the jets are on. You'll end up with an error that's not listed on the sheet. Since figuring that issue out the package has worked wonderful.

Great product, replaced old controller that had gone bad. It was less expensive to buy new system than it was to buy parts for old controller. This unit was easy to install, included all gasket seals, pipe fittings, new power cords for the pump, light, ozone unit, etc. When I called vendor about some installation items they called me right back and answered all my questions. Display panel works great and is easy to read. The system has been running for a couple of months now and kept tub hot and prevented freezing during recent -8F outdoor temps.

This was an easy install and plumbed right up to the original pipes. Fired up as expected. Much better value for the money than replacing my otherwise perfectly 15 year old hot tub!

This has the poorest wiring instructions. I do not want this unit. I want to return it for a refund. I bought another brand, hooked it up the same way and it works perfect

so easy to install, finally got our hot tub up and running again.

This is a rebranded Balboa retrofit controller, which I used to heat and control components for a cedar hot tub. It works great, and the SpaGuts support was very knowledgeable and helpful when I had questions about configuring the unit for 230/240v operation with just a circulation pump. The Balboa spa pack supports a variety of configurations and accessories, and is really a nice piece of equipment on its own, just wish it was cheaper!
