I wrote my review then went to the next page and there are other points to rate, but I didn’t give “sheerness” a rating because I didn’t want anyone to think it’s see through because it’s not. It perfectly gives a good light for me. It’s a great shade. The packaging could survive a tornado. Wrapped completely with air filled cubes and stabilized with a rod fitted into the cardboard so it’s impossible to be crushed unless a truck runs over it.

I finally found a shade for great grandma’s lamp. It’s beautiful and well made. Love it!

I'm very satisfied with this lampshade. I'm certainly not an expert on lampshades, but the quality is better than that of any lampshade I've previously owned. Considering the reasonable price, that's extra impressive!Also, I saw that some other buyers back in 2015 didn't get a finial top with their orders. I can only speak for my own experience, but my lampshade order arrived with hardware included, including a finial top (see photo).As other buyers have mentioned, there is a pattern that appears through the lampshade when lit (see photo). I like the pattern a lot, but some people might not. Despite the pattern, the lampshade does its job very effectively. I could stare at it when in use without experiencing any unpleasantness or eye strain whatsoever.

pretty much what I expected as far as the dimensions, looks great also. I thought the build quality was good for the price. Only thing I did not expect and is the reason why I didnt get it a perfect score was the fast that it lets a lot of light through. It's black and the inside is a light cream type color so even with a low wattage bulb a lot of light comes through the black. Over all very satisfied with it.

This shade far exceeded my expectations. It is completely cloth, inside & out. This means that it will last much longer. The quality is exceptional and presents as a high end lamp shade. The price combined with the quality makes this shade an amazing buy! Tempted to buy two more just to have them when it's time to replace.

I ordered these to replace some bell shaped shades that just didn't work any more. They have a good construction, were packed very well (the box arrived very dented, yet everything was intact and undamaged!). When lit, they have an opaque pattern that looks sort of animal stripes, but is very cool in my house.
