Appreciated the convenience. Once chair did have a scratch on it however. Also, love the color.

I do a lot of wood working and I am very happy with these chairs. I am going to order 2 more.

I'm going to let my photos do most of the talking for this review, but suffice it to say, these chairs are incredibly sturdy and attractive as well as comfortable. I could not be happier with them. The only reason I knocked off a star is because the lovely dark finish was not consistent. It could be that that is actually intentional, I don't know, but I took off a star for that and because there were some slight nicks and dings already when they arrived.MEASUREMENTS:Height at the tallest point of the backrest: 34"Seat back: 16.5" wideActual seat: 18" wide x 16" deepSeat sits at 18" from the groundWeighs approximately 17 lbsSome features that I think make these worth the price tag:**They have a low profile (the back is only 34" high) which makes them versatile. They would work well as a desk chair, a dining chair, or an accent chair with a cushion.**They come fully assembled and ready to go. Open the box, pull them out, and sit on them.**The feet have built-in rubber cushion things (see photo) so no need to hassle with those felt pads. They will not damage your floors.**They weight about 17 lbs each, so they are solid, but still maneuverable when sitting at the table.**Very nice craftsmanship and obviously well made. You get what you pay for.**They even work amazing as a "counter height surface" for at-home barre workouts.Potential Cons:**The seat is very slick and will most likely need a cushion of some sort.**As I already mentioned, when they get dinged or scuffed, the finish may rub off. That can be a pro or con, depending on your style. They are a dark mahogany color, but where the finish is thinner they pick up a reddish hue. This may clash with some decor.Overall these are well made and beautiful.

This is slightly difficult to review. The chairs themselves are solidly constructed, so far as I can tell. Well balanced, no wobble, not at all rickety. The color is slightly more reddish than I expected, so as backup when we have company, they don't go as well with our regular set as I had hoped, but oh well.Here's where it gets tricky. Both chairs, when they arrived, had marks in the same location. The wood wasn't damaged, but the varnish had been rubbed off enough to be noticeable on the seat of the chair. Both chairs, same location. Was this the packaging? If so, who packed then? I don't know who is at fault here. Touching them up wouldn't be at all difficult, but the damage to the varnish is there. As I said, the wood wasn't damaged, but it is worth pointing out in a review that the chairs did not arrive with the items in perfect condition, and since the damage was to both chairs in the same location, somethin' fishy is going on here. We are currently using this set of chairs as end pieces for a dining table. These chairs are refreshingly strong and sturdy. I am used to assembling furniture, so it was nice to unwrap this set and have them ready to go. They were packed quite well. The overall impression they give is one of sturdiness. I love how solid they feel. The cross-bracing is excellent. Beyond that, the finish is attractive and will complement a wide variety of styles and existing furniture.

Beautiful, heavy, solid and comfortable. These chairs look and feel very rich, nice enough for a formal dining room, and comfortable enough for everyday use. I put a thin decorative cushion on the bottom, more for looks than anything. The color appears just like the picture, shine and all. Worth every penny. Live them.
