Good for collectors, kids
Adult collectors tend to prefer the imported Masterpiece Series by Takara. Those figures produce more cartoons-accurate robot modes, but they are a project to transform. Red Alert, part of Hasbro’s latest iteration of Transformers, comes very close to his cartoon counterpart with the added bonus of being able to transform him in less than an hour. He’s sturdy enough for children of the appropriate age to play with and looks good enough to satisfy this adult collector. The $20 price point seems a little high, but I middle-aged and remember when Transformers cost about $6. This is a much better toy than I would have gotten in my youth. I don’t know if it’s $20 good, but it’s good.

A good figure.
This is a very good Red Alert figure that I would recommend for Transformers fans. The only thing I never liked in this toy line is the pre-paint battle damage but well sometimes you just have to deal. That is the only reason I say check to make certain if the person would rather have a figure without the pre-painted battle damage instead of these Siege figures.

One of my Favorite Figures from the Siege Line
A popular repaint among the Transformers Siege and Generations line, I normally don't buy different characters of the same mold...until I got Red Alert.I really do enjoy this figure- its nearly a spitting image of the Siege Sideswipe, but the head sculpt is different and the main weapon is different. The paint and character is unique enough for it to be worth the money- Good quality as well, nothing has broken or snapped on me yet. I really do recommend getting this figure if you're on the fence about it or happen to see it on sale and would like an additional Siege figure on the shelf. All in all, this is certainly on my top 10 Siege list.

Good Figure
As a repaint and a remold in terms of head from Sideswipe, Red Alert is a nice figure just to have. For children he’s excellent, sturdy and flexible. For collectors he’s great as well, just more for collecting and less for appreciating his almost non-existant remold.

Just because you're paranoid, doesn't mean they're not trying to kill you.
Red Alert is paranoid, which is not a bad trait in a Security Director if it's kept in check by reason, logic, and common sense. Red Alert is... not always so good with those other traits. The Autobots appreciate his discriminating eye for detail as well as his all-consuming dedication to safety, but his ratio of false alarms to real emergencies leaves something to be desired. And thanks to the "bot who cried wolf" effect, it makes them less likely to take Red Alert seriously when his sensors detect a genuine threat.Red Alert is close friends with Inferno despite their polarized personalities mixing about as well as oil and vinegar. Incidentally, both Autobots feel obligated to keep the other out of trouble and this concern melds them into a reasonably effective duo.

Red Alert! Add To Collection!
Good, solid G1 figure. I know he's a repaint, but he looks really good. Decent size & easy transform (for older kids - adult). Paint looks nice. So far, the Siege figures are a win.

Best Generation Red Alert
It’s a slight retool of Siege Sideswipe which was already great figure. Much like Sideswipe Red Alert easily blow the Henkei/Generations Ver out of the water. The figure has a easy but fun transformation and amazing articulation but I do wish it had wrist swivel tho.

Vibrant Red Stripe
This is the Transformer that reeled me into collecting War for Cybertron. The red and white colors are really pleasing, and I managed to transform it without instructions!
