Lasko Wind Machine 20" 3-Speed Air Circulator Fan, Gray

I've used this particular fan for about 25 years. The new ones are as good as the old ones. This fan doesn't generate a lot of wind speed, so it may seem underwhelming. But, try moving your hand around in front of it, and you'll feel that it moves air through a large volume of space at once. It's also much less noisy than a typical box fan, with a darker sound. These 2 factors make this the ideal fan for supplementing an air conditioner. Put the fan on a small table near the AC and you can have it direct cold air at a distant spot. I have mine up on a TV table aimed at my back where I sit writing this review. I can feel the cold air on me just like I could if I were directly in front of the AC. So, I'm able to have both fan and AC in the back of the room, and I can sit and work far away from their noise while still getting direct cooling. In this use case, I think the fan is 100% worth it. If you're using this for direct cooling (like having it next to you as you sleep), it will also work but you can get higher airflow from a shop style fan. I recommend using it to move air from an AC as I described, or put it in a window/door to exchange air quickly with the outside. When you use it like that, you'll see the value of this fan. I've bought my second one ever after writing this review (gave the one from 25 years ago to my parents) and I'm glad to say that this is still a good and well-priced design. This fan can turn a stuffy loft space into a nice comfy place to sleep!

I just bought this to replace the exact same fan I bought more than 15 years ago. The new one is EXACTLY like the old one, and that says everything. How many products in this world are good enough to be sold for 15 or more years with absolutely no change? That is a singular achievement. This is, I believe, the best floor fan you can possibly get. For more than 15 years, it worked flawlessly for me. There were times in summer when it would run weeks without ever being turned off. It's quiet, it has three excellent settings and it can be reliably tilted to any angle you need. Even in winter, you can aim it at the ceiling to get that warm air moving and circulate it throughout the room. Mine failed because the plastic knob that controls the switch finally just crumbled into an unusable mess. Using pliers to turn it off and on doesn't really feel safe. I guess I could jury-rig something, but that's more hassle than I need for a simple fan. Other than improving that switch knob, I can't imagine anything else they could do to make it better. Apparently, neither could the manufacturer! At my age, this is a product that's surely going to outlive me!

First, I was very pleasantly surprised that this large fan came in one piece. Pull out the box and plug in. Definitely worth the cost. If you like the white noise of a fan this is perfect because in my opinion it provides just enough relaxing noise. Air flow is great with three speed options with the knob on the back. The air flow is just as good as the lasko pedestal fans if you’ve ever had one. Fan quality is great and yet light weight. Power cord length is good. In my opinion this is a great space saver fan when your room just does not have the floor space for a pedestal fan. This is a large fan (see advertisement for measurement) and for some it may be too large but for me, the size is great because sits perfect on-top of my dresser which is exactly what I needed.

It came fully assembled with no packing material so I assume I got a used fan and not a new one. It looked to be in excellent shape. The person who assembled it saved me some work. It moves a lot of air even on the lowest setting. I really like that you can tilt it so as to make the fans face into a cooling table. In the near constant 99° heat electronics don't do very well. Turn the fans face facing straight up and place your phone and/or tablet on it. Use something small near the devices edges so air can circulate better around them. It'll take two such items for tablets and one for a phone. These really are great fans and I highly recommend them. Not only is it light weight, I'd say it's almost too light. It is as large as I was afraid it would be, but still can sit atop my 1200 watt microwave box (knew I kept that for a reason). All that was required to get it up and running was pull it out of it's box, set it on top of the microwave box, plug it in to a 10 guage extension cable and turn it on. It is quiet on the lowest setting. The noise at the 2nd setting doubles and on the 3rd is 50% more still. Not at all bad. The air flow is gentle on the 1st setting, but still the fan is moving a good amount of air; enough to keep me cool in 98° heat with no AC. When the temps crawl to 100 and above will update you on how it does (that is if I survive).

Not as quiet as I'd hoped but still packs a punch. Definitely a nice fan - blows things around, creates a nice draft, three or four speeds. Its a great fan and I'm happy with my purchase. It's a little loud if your hearing sensitive-otherwise just turn up the tv. That's what we do. Affordable fan, my the dogs love this fan. We have AC, but they love to lay right in front of it-it's hilarious and adorable. For that reason, I will never get rid of this fan. Happy to say that it's till going strong after this ridiculously hot summer! It's definitely working overtime.

I use the fan to blow on my clothes bars as my apartment has no dryer. My old fan had died and I needed on in hurry. In a rural area in winter a fan is not easy to find. Yeah Amazon! I love that it needed no assembly. Just took it from the box and plugged it in. It tilts wonderfully. It is fairly quiet. It's very sturdy and stable. There were comments about the switch being in the middle of the back. I don't mind that at all. It really moves the air around!

Todo está muy bien, no pesa mucho, es resistente y genera una muy buena brisa de aire. Pero es un poco ruidoso y me salió con un sonido en su sistema rotatorio, no lo regresé por que al final no es para tanto pero es bueno tenerlo en cuenta.

Duas coisas importantes para saber antes de comprar: 1 - Ele é todo de plástico, e não tem metal, como parece ter julgando pelas fotos 2 - Ele não é silencioso. Eu diria que até dá para dormir com ele na velocidade baixa, mas não é ideal. Esse é na verdade um Circulador de Ar, feito para mover grandes quantidades de ar, e não tem o propósito de ser silencioso. 3 - Ele é ENORME. Deve ter uns 60cm de altura.
