Caleffi 553140 Automatic Filling Unit 1/2'' with Manual Cock, Strainer, Check Valve.and Pressure Gauge

My item was on time on the specified day all good

It delivers what it says on the tin. The only note I have is that the pressure tweaking (right desired pressure) will take you long time. The result of a regulation is visible after hours, so be patient and don't rush in changing too much too quickly.

The first one was faulty but immediately replaced without fuss by the seller. It was a like for like replacement part by the same manufacturer and used to refurbish an old pressurisation unit in a commercial system. It has been working faultlessly now for nearly two years.

Used in conjunction with water meter to auto top up a heating system and monitor for leaks. I set a pressure of 0.8bar, and the Caleffi unit has held this pressure very precicely. Was also beneficial whilst flushing and cleaning so we dod not need to monitor system pressure while opening and closing valves/ drain. Brilliant.

So far it’s doing the job. Only issue was that the supplied manometer was not threaded so as it could remain visible - was not insuperable as I already had a manometer installed elsewhere in the system.

I fixed the filler to a board and used flexible hoses due to lack of space, but this was straightforward using a 22mm pipe clip. Once installed, the device equalised the pressure and the gauge worked well. No problems seen at all.

Well manufactured. Ideal for pressure control of auto fill unit.
