Great diesel treatment for everyday use
I use this Hot Shot’s Secret Everyday Diesel Treatment for my diesel truck, and it has been a great product to keep on hand. The 1-gallon size is a good value because it treats a lot of fuel and makes it easy to use regularly. I like that it is made for everyday diesel maintenance, not just occasional use, and it gives me extra confidence that I am taking better care of the fuel system. A very practical product for diesel owners who want something reliable for regular use.

Works like a charm
I've been using EDT for a couple years in my two diesels. Small, effective improvement in mileage, but I like that it helps keep the fuel system clean. Read and watched quite a few reviews of various additives and felt this was the best bang for the buck, especially buying it in bulk a refilling the small bottles in that we keep in the vehicles.

Follow the Directions For Use...
If you simply follow the directions, then this is an excellent product! If you intentionally use too much thinking that more product has to be better, well, then you deserve what you get and very likely you'll end up killing your expensive fuel injectors or the equally expensive fuel pump as a result. Follow the directions for use exactly and measure out the correct amount of product. This is not going to repair years/decades of neglect and pre-existing internal fuel system corrosion/damage/wear issues, which should go without saying, but I've read the low-rated reviews, which are few. Got the 32oz bottle to try, as better value compared to the smaller 16oz bottle/squeeze bottle. The only downside is you really need to follow the directions for use and measure out this type of fuel additive to avoid using too much of it per tank, which is significantly more difficult with the larger bottle size. As others have noted the caps on the larger bottles don't seal very well, and product is not something you want to keep inside your vehicle (or anywhere enclosed really) unless you bag it and ensure it cannot fall over. Failure to follow the product directions (just pouring it in freely) can result in damage to the very expensive injectors and fuel pump, etc., which is also true of other branded diesel fuel additives as well. Follow the directions and you will very quickly feel the difference in throttle response compared to pump diesel. I use the top-tier diesel fuel and supplement with this product. I get much lower running noise, better fuel economy, less DPF regenerations, and significantly better throttle response. The driving 'fun factor' alone is worth the price of this product, but I actually buy it to protect my aging HPFP and original injectors in my '10 Audi Q7 TDI...those bits are kinda pricey to replace. I used Liqui Moly products prior, and those are great too, but more expensive, so now I'm on Hotshot's EDT, and my TDI loves it. :)

Great product in easy to use containers
I’ve been using Hot Shots EDT in my diesel truck for several years and love it. The easy-pour containers make dosing at each fill-up a breeze, and I’m confident it helps keep my engine as clean as a diesel can be. Reliable product I’ll keep buying.

Can't see any benefits yet but I'll keep using it.
Was recommended this product by a local diesel expert. I cannot see any noticeable difference in the way my truck is running, however that doesn't mean its not doing what its advertised to do. Have been running for several hundred miles in a 06 LBZ. I hope that it keeps the injectors and CP3 pump working flawlessly for many more miles to come. 4 out of 5 stars since I can't tell a difference

Great stuff!
Used this because I had an error code on my 2020 GMC Denali diesel. The dealer tried telling me it was a $1200 issue but when I used this on my own, it cleared out the error code.

Never missed a fill up in years — fuel system has never given me a single issue
Running a 6.7 Power Stroke means taking fuel system health seriously. Injector replacement on a diesel is an expensive conversation nobody wants to have and preventative maintenance through quality fuel treatment is the right approach versus waiting for a problem to develop. Hot Shot's Secret EDT has been in every tank since I started running it and the fuel system has been flawless. Have this on Subscribe and Save so it shows up automatically and never runs out between fill ups. That kind of set and forget convenience matters for something you're supposed to use consistently — skipping treatments because you ran out defeats the purpose of a maintenance additive. The 16oz bottle treating 400 gallons means one bottle covers a solid stretch of fill ups without burning through product fast. The lubricity additive is the most important function for a modern diesel running ultra low sulfur diesel fuel. ULSD stripped a significant amount of the natural lubrication that older diesel formulations provided and injector and pump wear is the long term consequence of running without compensation. EDT addresses that directly and the peace of mind that comes with knowing your injectors and high pressure fuel pump are properly protected is worth every penny of the per tank cost. Cetane boost is a real world benefit beyond just the chemistry — smoother cold starts, cleaner combustion, and the fuel economy stays where it should be throughout the tank rather than dropping off as fuel quality varies by station. For any diesel truck owner doing the math on preventative maintenance versus repair costs, this is the easiest cost benefit calculation you'll make. On Subscribe and Save and never looking back.

TDI Seems To Like This Stuff. A Must For US D2 Fuel.
After purchasing our 2012 VW TDI diesel at 140K miles I started researching best practices to keep these little engines happy. What I read was that the US has some of the crappiest quality D2 diesel on the world stage. Even Canada's diesel is higher cetane and lubricity rated than the States not to even mention Europe which has WAY higher standards than us. The weak point of these TDI engines seems to be the high pressure fuel pump (HPFP) that is crank driven to enormous pressure for the injectors to to their thing. If these HPFP parts fail on common rail engines they can literally grenade and throw shards of metal everywhere within the downstream fuel system ensuring a VERY expensive repair if not destroying the engine altogether. The lubricating property of the fuel plays an important part in keeping these pumps working properly. There even seems to be some data supporting Canadian operated TDIs have fewer failure rates of the HPFP than stateside fueled vehicles although nothing had been officially published to my knowledge. Sulpher in the diesel had beneficial lubricating properties but was bad for the environment and subsequently removed from D2 by the EPA much like leaded gasoline of yesteryear. So the second tank I ran in my TDI was Hot Shot's EDT. I can't comment on the comparative difference as I ran this from almost day one. What I like is the claimed increased lubricity and cetane boost that is supposed to bring our crappy D2 up to reasonable levels the rest of the world enjoys. Fuel economy seems fine but playing with a low spun turbo and the subsequent torque is sometimes too irresistible to give fuel economy a fair chance. Besides, I need to blow out all that accumulated carbon :) I like the fact that the Hotshot's EDT seems more concentrated and affordable than the competition. 1oz for a tank is almost a performance treatment for my TDI. It's a negligible cost for a fill up and I hope they keep it that way. My dislike might be the one thing other people love about this product and that's the bottle. The bottle is meant to be squeezed to get the measured amount in the top fill area so measuring is easier. My concern is the filler neck is not long enough to cram into the filler to avoid spilling without a funnel and diesel doesn't do many favors to paint. My workaround was to save the empty bottles from other gasoline treatments and use a syringe to fill 1oz amounts of EDT and place in the trunk of the car in double plastic bags. Seems to work fine although the kitchen was probably not the best place to do this since it doesn't smell like flowers. Next purchase will likely be the bulk bottle. It's kind of a shame we actually need this kind of protection now since the US fuel standards are almost non-existent. Even B1 blended bio diesel would be a huge improvement in lubricity but not available where I live. Thanks Hotshot's...Good stuff!

Good product and price point
Alot of people recommended this and so far I believe it has made a slight difference in overall performance and lubrication quality (really hard to tell with fuel additives)
