Ordered 2 of these rods and have no complaints. ordered a 4000 and 5000 series. had to have a combo that would breakdown for our vacation trips with the family. The rod is stiff and offers great hook setting, casting, and feedback. The reel is smooth, casts good, and dont have any complaints. Also i like the design of the eyelets and have yet to break any off. Ive got a ton of other rods from other brands and are comparable to penn fierce's but i really really like these due to cheaper cost and better build quality.

This Kast King Centron reel is great. Very smooth and feels like an expensive reel. Good value for the money. I bought the combo with the Centron 7'-6" medium-heavy rod. The rod is well made and looks it. I made the mistake of buying it medium-heavy. It is too stiff for the kind of bass fishing I do every day in our Florida lake. I'll keep it for use in the brackish water for snook or tarpon. Not the rods fault that I bought it too stiff. I need more flex in a rod for the kind of presentation I need to make to our native bred, non-stocked bass. Same for setting the hook without jerking it away from the fish.

Got this for a river salmon Trip, nice rod medium Heavy with a 3000 sinning reel, used yellow hi viz 30lb line with florocarbon lead! Casting is fast, clean and it's good value!

Garbage...nothing but issues with this twig since day one. Tip snapped first day out and handle on reel broke today. Can't compete with brands like Penn or even Lews. Save a dollar for a better setup by not purchasing. Good luck

Used it to catch 35" Black Drum. Being a 2 piece makes it a great rod to keep in my truck. Not only good for big fish, but sensitive enough for multi species. I got the 8ft heavy and very impressed. Comes with a 5000 reel.

This is my first KastKing rod, but my 11th reel. For the price, they work very well. They corrode in brackish water, but a simple cleaning and re-grease and back to fishing.
