I will be honest in that collagen was probably the best solution for me to start with but because I felt and read a lot of reviews about people taking collagen powder for anti-aging purposes that I wanted to stay away from it because I wasn't looking to turn back time. Luckily the good Lord has blessed me there so far. I needed to focus on something that would help me with my chronic pain with my tendons, joints and overall pain since I have a lot of neurological issues. I was in a bad accident a year ago that changed my life and I have been in consistent pain ever since. I have gotten very sick because of it have lost a lot of weight and muscle mass. Pretty much the muscle mass was the weight I had. Along with being in my 40s and heading into that stage of my life being a woman, you lose a lot of nutrients and become deficient in a lot of things at this point. My body doesn't bounce back as fast as it used to regardless of my old tricks of replenishing what I think I've lost. I don't want to be put on prescription pain medication and I always prefer to go the natural route. I've tried everything from hemp oil, hemp capsules, cherry tart capsules and everything in between and it helped a little but not a significant difference to where I could fully function without thinking about the pain. What I needed was something that would focus on helping my muscles and tendons recover because since I have to do consistent PT everyday and keep my body motivated so I can keep my joints lubricated I needed something that would help benefit my muscles, help with the pain so what I was doing with my body would amount to something. I did a lot of research on collagen proteins because there are many different kinds. I was considering trying to powder to put in my smoothies but I'm really not a fan of it. I literally went through Amazon and read a whole bunch of reviews on different collagen products. All of them focus on anti-aging until I came across Purely Optimal collagen complex product. I read a few reviews that were focused on the same issue I had with my muscles. There was a specific one that resignated with me. It was from an individual who was in so much pain that she was not able to do anything not even her PT. Her chiropractor recommended this type of supplement. She said within 24 hours the pain was gone and she was able to function and it's been a few weeks later and she is in full-blown beast mode in terms of functioning great, feeling good without pain enable to do her exercises. I figured there had to be something to it so I gave it a shot. When I received this supplement I have to be honest within 24 hours I was feeling significantly better! I have been taking it for a few weeks now and I can't go a day without this! Because of this product it is truly working for my body. I have been able to gain back some really nice muscle mass the complement the exercising I'm doing every day. My pain is either gone or depending on the weather very dull. I am participating more in my life like I used to and able to get back to the activities I used to do like hiking in Marathon walking. My husband is even deleted because he has his wife back. It's frustrating when somebody you love has to watch you decline into somebody or not and it changes you. It's amazing how much your attitude changes when your body cooperates and you can do what you want! To say that this product has changed my life would be an understatement and I can't think purely optimal enough for saving me! I already plan on ordering another bottle and will not go without this ever again. The other great part is I do like that the clear capsules are such where you can put the powder inside it in a drink so I do put it in my smoothies. I don't taste anything at all so there's no funky taste that comes with it if you do it that way. I recommended this product to my relatives dealing with similar issues and I would recommend it to anybody in my situation or being older dealing with arthritis, joint pain, tendon pain, chronic pain that comes with things like fibromyalgia etc. This product will change your life and it's a must-have. It has all the right proteins in it to do what you will need it to do. I have also noticed some other nice perks aside in terms of my eyebrows are finally starting to grow back after I over plucked them in my youth so I have to do a double take when I see them! I had to use the fill-in powder for years and I still will need to use it for a little bit longer but at the rate these are going I might be able to put away the powder for good! I put an up close picture up to show you the growth that has happened from this product alone for my eyebrows. The second photo of myself I am wearing the powder because I will need to for a while but that picture is specifically for my hair . For me, this is long hair for now while it's growing out. It was much shorter than that before taking this product ! I think it even looks nicer and is more Cooperative to work with now too. It's funny seeing hair above my eyes and I have to remind myself that it's my eyebrows! My eyelashes are also filling back in. I always had long, full eyelashes. And still do but as I'm getting older the hair is falling out so I have some gaps and the hair is starting to grow back there now! I tried to take an up-close photo for you and point to where an example of my gaps are and hopefully you can see regardless that there is new growth coming in where that gap is it's the little spiky hairs under my finger. I did not put makeup on before taking the picture because I felt it would mask what I was trying to show you. My reviews are genuine and I felt this was the best way to show that. My hair is growing like crazy which is nice for me because I had really short hair and have been trying to grow it out for over a year and taking this product has expedited the process so much to the point that even after a couple of weeks of taking it, I already had to trim my hair in the back so it wouldn't get longer than the front and I am not complaining! My nails are growing like nobody's business so I have to keep them trimmed and my skin even looks better too! Again I am definitely not complaining! So I ordered it for my pain but I am getting a lot of amazing perks that come with the use of collagen. This stuff works you must order it now it will change your life!

This product has the multiple Collages so am hoping to see or feel the benefits accordingly as time goes on. Thus far I have noticed a significantly improved look and feel of my nails. I am older and have noticed an increase in the ridges, the increased brittleness and the thinning of my nails for the last 10 years. This Collagen has literally taken 10 years off my hands. My nails are smooth and soft to the feel. My nails are no longer peeling, which was actually a much longer problem I have had, probably more like 15-20 years, and they are no longer chipping. Also, as stated above I am older so have your typical aches and pains. I have noticed a decrease in my knee joint pain and in my SI joints as well. I will not say the discomfort is gone but I can say it most definitely is better, I am taking less anti inflammatory medications daily, which is wonderful. In the mornings I am not as stiff and feel like I am getting more done earlier because of this. I have not gone to have my blood work done yet but will update if possible when I do, I am hoping it will help with my thyroid and blood sugar, time will tell. I am not diabetic but consistently hover a few points over the "recommended" level, same with the thyroid but on the low end, so the blood work should be telling. Oh and one last thing, my hair is growing like crazy! Not sure how thrilled I am about this as it means more trips to get a hair cut, hence more money, lol, but I think for folks that are looking for this as an improvement should be very happy with the results. I have a LOT of tiny baby hairs coming in as well, so I think I will have to suggest it makes your hair thicker as well as longer. All in all I find this to be an excellent product and would highly recommend.

This product is amazing!!! I started using it on December 5 and the wrinkles on my face are already smoothing out and my face is looking plumper. This is truly a miracle as I have been through radiation and chemotherapy and needless to say they took a lot out of me. I have lost a lot of weight and that doesn't help matters either. I'm 59 and I don't expect to look 30 but I didn't want to look older than I am. I have tried all sorts of creams and lotions but will small temporary results but my hopes are now renewed with such amazing results in such a short time. You have no idea how much this means to me to look in the mirror and see a little bit of myself coming back. I know to many this may seem frivolous but when you have everything taken from you it is such an awesome feeling to finally have something given back. I hope you don't think this is too corny but it is how I feel and I can't wait to see how much better it gets because I'm going to keep using it. Although it's to early to tell I'm hopeful it will help my thinning hair. The chemo blessed me with a head full of gorgeous curls but it has thinned so much lately, I'm hoping this will also help that. I was searching for a supplement that would help keep my skin resilient, nails strong, and with hair thickness. I’ve found that after taking a low dosage of hydrochlorothiazide for mild hypertension following a recovery from surgery related sepsis, that my hair was thinning. Also, my nails began weakening and I began to notice the first signs of the dreaded “skin crepe”. I wanted to be proactive in doing something before any of this escalated, so I substantially researched the possible benefits of taking collagen supplements. Additionally, I adopted a lifestyle three years ago that focuses heavily on whole foods, with no animal products. I understand and had to make a decision whether animal based collagen would be right for me, and after much consideration and research, decided that I would be ok with this, considering not only beauty related benefits, but the importance of collagen for overall optimum health, including healthy bones and joints (I was also beginning to experience joint pain, which really concerned me). Anyway, I came across this product, which received many glowing reviews and decided to give it a try. While after almost completing my first bottle, I cannot say much for noticeable improvement of hair or resilience of skin, it seems my nails are a bit stronger, and I do not notice joint pain (if this is due to these collagen supplements, then it’s a huge gain!) I forgot to mention that I’m approaching fifty (which blows my mind..where’d the years go!?) and realize my body’s lack of ability to create its own collagen. Another important benefit worth mentioning (although feels weird just writing this because it’s such a private subject) is it noticeably improves regularity. If you’re desiring daily, full movements with noooo problems, then this is the supplement for you!). That alone makes this a winner, the other potential benefits would be definite bonuses! I eat well, stay active and hydrated, drug and alcohol free, etc., but can still have issues sometimes...this helps dramatically and promotes a more healthy “feeling” from fuller eliminations. Icky subject, but necessary part of health, so there ya “go” (little pun for your enjoyment). Bottom line: I’d like to continue taking this supplement and would recommend at least trying it to anyone concerned about collagen loss in general. I was reluctant of the product after using several other collagen supplements and not having noticable results. I have used the product for a month now and can visibly see the difference in these areas reflecting from when initially started to now... 1) I got a much shorter haircut than expected and it has grown out faster than in past not taking a collagen supplement. 2) My nails were peeling and breaking easily. A month in they are strong and not having these issues. Multiple people have assumed they were fake nails. Talk about a boost of confidence having beautiful nails! 3) My knees were making a creaky (not sure how to describe it) noise when going up stairs I started to notice. Along with working on weight loss taking this daily has significantly improved this. My knees also felt stiff many time as well we swollen. Taking the 3 daily with an exercise schedule has genuinely made me feel better! When I wake up or after I've been sitting awhile I no longer have this uncomfortable feeling. Once I stopped taking them for a week I could tell the difference in about 48-72 hours. Maybe you could take less than recommended but I decided to follow the directions just to see if the product worked or not. As a full disclosure I am leaving this review because I was promised a free bottle for doing so but also because the claims are true. My physical concerns that initially made me purchase this collagen were met and I would definitely purchase again once I'm out as long as I can feel results. I recommend anyone who has experienced something I listed try this. The down side is the pills are larger and swallowing them did take awhile to get use to. The capsules don't have a bad taste but do have an odd taste...these are DEFINITELY much better than other brands similar in price I've purchased and tried to compare!

It made my nails grow so much stronger & faster, my hair seemed to grow quicker but I was really hoping it would help with hair loss I've been experiencing the last few months but I'm starting to think that might be caused by hormones or something. But the main reason I got it is because I've been suffering from adult acne for nearly 2 years after 32 years of a perfectly healthy & glowing complexion.... While taking this supplement my skin improved so much I could tolerate looking in the mirror again!! After I ran out I tried another brand's complex & it hasn't been nearly as beneficial in any of the areas I've mentioned.... I also noticed slightly less pain in my elbows & knees, but I'm not sure if that's due to this or the magnesium supplement I started, but the stuff I can attribute to the collagen is definitely enough for me!! I have been taking this Collagen supplement for about 3 weeks now. I was looking for a solution for the less than ideal condition of my aging (48 yo woman) nails, hair and skin. My nails are very thin, brittle, ridged and prone to breaking easily. My hair has been thinning, sustains damage from coloring, and is also prone to breakage. I have all sorts of skin issues - oily/combo/acne prone/discoloration & uneven tone/enlarged pores/wrinkles/fine lines/texture/loss of firmness and sagging (aging is not for the weak! Lol!). I believe this supplement is helping with all of the above, which is why I’m ordering it again. I have seen some improvement in my nails: not breaking as much, more flexible/stronger, fewer ridges, less brittle & growing faster; hair: feels softer, seems to be growing faster; and skin: pore size seems to be decreasing, tone appears to be improving. I’m also hoping for some joint pain reduction, but I’m not sure I can speak to that yet. I’m a believer in giving things a chance to work. I think more time is needed to determine what the actual, lasting benefits of using this collagen will be, but I am optimistic based on my initial results and will continue using it.

i received delivery on 02 Sept and started right away and followed the instructions. . i bought this type of collagen because of the good reviews, but i do not notice any positive result since I started taking the tablet. the box says i can order a free bottle by login in to Purely Optimal website, i tried many times but failed to order my free bottle., my bottle is almost empty and Im having seconds thoughts if i should buy again or switch to a different brand of collagen that is much more cheaper in price.

OMG! Do yourself a favour and start taking this! I was on bovine only collagen for 4 years and thought I was due for a change! I wish I found this product many years ago, it’s amazing. Within the first week my excessively dry skin felt smother to the touch snd the dryness improved over the next few weeks To hydrate my snake skin. The tiny under eye and forehead wrinkles become less obvious, . I have purchased a lot of face creams in the past that don’t even come close to this collagen performance. No dermatologist will ever let you know of this secret tablet.
