You've GOT To Be Kidding!!!!
I go through a lot of stevia, and usually buy a pound approximately every seven months or so. The brand I'd been using prior to this one simply got too expensive, which was why I switched brands. I've always been very happy with Mood and Mind - until now. Last time I bought it (Sept 2024), it was $57/lb. When I went to reorder in March 2025, it had skyrocketed to $70/lb!!! Seriously?!?! Time to look for another brand again.

Concentrated and Pure
I ordered this product because I was going through a liquid Stevia extract bottle after bottle fairly fast. I was intrigued about how this product had no added fillers and therefore less goes a longer distance in terms of use. I found the supplier answered my questions very quickly, mainly about checking the purity and about whether or not the powder dissolved well in water. I found the powder to be very fine and slightly sticky. I found my plastic scoop would get clogged easily, but found that a small metal sugar server type spoon worked very well. I found one level mini-spoon to be more than enough sweetener for a cup of tea. I found, too, that I could dissolve the powder in water and make substitute Stevia liquid for the Stevia bottles that I had bought, and at a much less cost. It took a little experimenting to get the right ratio between water and powder. I found that a 1/4th cup of water to about 5 heaping mini-spoons was about right. I used a whisk, twirling it in my hands, to blend the powder with the water, and then put the liquid into a regular dropper bottle. Only a few drops are needed to sweeten a cup of tea. The powder is very fine and can blow into the air very easily, so it take a little care to not waste the powder this way. I found that mixing it with water and putting it into a dropper bottle to be a very practical solution. When I make a pot, all I need is one heaping mini-spoon and then using a whisk to blend it in.I recommend this product to anyone who uses Stevia as an alternative sweetener a lot as a way of saving money. It takes a little bit of care to mix it into a liquid and put it into a dropper bottle, but it is well rewarded in lower costs. I plan to buy more from this company when I run low. If you want to squeeze every last bit of savings, too, you can put some water into the bag when it is getting low and have the water absorb all the remaining Stevia.Stevia is my favorite sweetener and has a taste similar to anise or licorice. It is an herbal sweetener that seems very safe to use and may lower blood pressure in people with high blood pressure. WebMD has this to say about:"Stevia is a plant that is native to South America. It is probably best known as a source of natural sweeteners. In fact, native people in South America have used stevia as a sweetener for hundreds of years. But the leaves are also used to make medicine.Stevia is used as a weight loss aid; for treating diabetes, high blood pressure and heartburn; for lowering uric acid levels; for preventing pregnancy; and for increasing the strength of the muscle contractions that pump blood from the heart. In foods, stevia is used as a non-caloric sweetener and flavor enhancer. Stevia was originally available as a "dietary supplement" in the U.S. It wasn't allowed as a "food additive" until 2008. That's when the federal Food and Drug Administration (FDA) granted Generally Recognized as Safe (GRAS) status to rebaudioside A, one of the chemicals in stevia that makes it sweet. Stevia is also available as a sweetener in Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Taiwan, Russia, Israel, Mexico, Paraguay, Uruguay, Venezuela, Columbia, Brazil, and Argentina."

BEST PRICE around on any stevia extract powder around. GREAT QUALITY!
I bought this stevia for the first time, a few months ago. I've been using stevia extract powder (1/32 tsp. = tsp. sugar) for almost 10 years and this brand is just as good as the other brands and the cheapest price I've seen around per serving. This is such a great deal compared to the other brands of stevia I've purchased in the past. A pound (16 ounces) of stevia extract powder for $40 is such a great deal. The Now brand sells for $55-60 a lb. and around 7-8 years ago I paid more than that for that size bottle at a local health food store and it lasted me more than a year (I was only able to buy it once from that store like that. They no longer sell the big bottle like that. They use the bottle to repackage in smaller zipper baggies and sell by the ounce. They were surprised I wanted to buy the big bottle which they did have a price on.)The last few years, I was purchasing a 3.5 ounce bottle of the Kal brand for $28-30 at another local health food store and that much wouldn't last me 2-3 months. I use a lot of stevia, mostly for my cold green tea with lemon, which I drink like water, from 1 to 1 1/2 liters of tea a day. Also, I refill an old small (1 oz.?) Now bottle of stevia, and carry it around in my purse for sweetening unsweet tea in restaurants, which I use about once or twice a week. I also use stevia to sweeten coffee, which I had only been drinking once or twice a week but lately I have been drinking coffee more often. As far as the taste and sweetness, it's just as good as the other brands like Now and Kal. It's just as good as the store brand that I bought for several years from Vitamin World, which they used to sell a few yrs ago (which they don't anymore, they use a more "watered down" stevia powder now). The Kal brand is slightly sweeter but a lot of times I was easily using too much of that brand anyway. If I was using 4-5 scoops of Kal brand to sweeten a large glass of tea in a restaurant, I may need to add an extra scoop or two of this brand to get it just as sweet but this brand is still such a great deal and I'm less likely to use too much. It's been awhile since I've used the Now brand but far as I can remember it's similiar to Kal brand but Kal may be slightly sweeter.Again, this is the best deal around on stevia. The best price and just as good as other brands. I still have a lot left and will definitely purchase this brand again. It may be a year before I need some more but this brand is dated 1 1/2 yrs from now (which I've already had half a year). I'm sure it would still be good long after the sell by date but I'll have it used up long before the date. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this stevia.
