I purchased this so I could access the AUX while charging in my car since apple iPhone 8's have only one port - to plug in a charger. Needless to say, this adapter DOES NOT WORK. Nice idea, but doesn't work. I found out later that Apple has a chip inside their Audio Splitter Adapters. The chips allow the adapter to recognize the AUX as a licensed adapter or not. THIS ONE IS NOT. So although the charger part works, the AUX DOES NOT. BOOOO! I should have done my home work. I ended up purchasing a charging pad and using a licensed AUX independently and not split through one port. Be careful when shopping for these accessories - they can fool you. Buyer beware!

I thought this would work with iPhone 8 but it doesn't. I was using with a lavalier mic and it would not record any audio. Finally purchase an Apple Certified adapter and it worked perfectly. Beware.

Everything about this headphone is excellent If you were going to use it to just listen to music and you want to recharge your Apple device at the same time. I bought it for him is our phone use in my car and it does not work with the phone.

This item came defective. Audio passes through, but not power.By the way, this review is for a lightning connector that allows iPhones to receive both power and audio out through the lighting port. I don’t know why other reviews show up here.

Most of the reviews don’t even match the product. Which I got today and it does even work!!! I only selected one star because you can’t have zero stars with Amazon

Update: this thing worked for less than 2 months and now it has one lose on one end and worthless! Buy something else!

Works great. The size for the extra port makes this accessory harder to loose.

I liked them fine are use them with my iPhone and my iPad
