well made nice quality
I bought 3 of these for different aircraft and well please with them. I need something to slow my flaps down which the radio couldn't really do. These work great. Highly recommend for flaps and gear.

Not for a plane you spent a lot on
It works, first of all. It does do that. It also sinks an absurd amount of power considering the size (my meter says it takes another 3 watts). The crimps are overcrimped, damaging the wire, which means taking it back out without destroying it is a trial. For a park flyer or foamy it's fine, for a balsa bird, don't cheap out, unless you want to see your work crash.
