The handle on my old La-Z-Boy recliner broke years ago in the middle, right at the end of the little metal tang. I tried gluing it back together with some gorilla glue (good stuff), but it wasnt able to hang on long term. So for a long time I have just been using a half-length handle that pokes you a little when you grab it. Then one day I thought to myself, I bet Amazon has a replacement part for this. There weren't a lot of choices, but this one fit the bill. The new handle is installed, and I can recline with ease. Pros: - It exists. Nice find for a probably 20 year old chair. - It fits - It's affordable Cons: - The threads were kinda junky. I had to really crank the set screw through before attempting to install. And you could see the shiny spot on the set screw threads where it pushed through the uneven/funk/whatever was stopping smooth threading. Once pushed through, it was fine. tighten, back off, tighten some more, repeat, and it should be smooth sailing for the install. - There is wood texture, but no attempt to make the fake wood coloring like the original had. But of course that wears off eventually anyways. It's just brown - Be ready with your own hex wrench to remove the old one and install the new (same size wrench for both in my case)

I called LazyBoy and gave them all the warranty information for my chair and received the wrong handle (for free but with 12 dollar shipping) that was not compatible with my LazyBoy chair. I called them again, they apologized profusely, and after confirming all the details about my broken chair, they shipped me another handle for free, however, it was the wrong handle again. So... I ordered this handle through Amazon. It arrived within two days and of course it was the right handle for my chair. It took less than a minute to install and the handle has worked flawlessly with no sign of loosening up. Get this one if it looks like the one your chair has, the quality is excellent and it fits perfectly.

After 20 year the reclining lever on my lazy boy broke off. This replacement is a perfect fit, matches and took 10 minutes to replace. Thanks.

I have a nine year old Lazy Boy rocker recliner and the foot rest release came off because the small metal insert had come out and I never saw it. The hole had gotten worn. I ordered this because I didn’t want to go through an expensive journey through Lazy Boy and it seems to be ok. I know now that there is a metal piece in the handle. But the screw seems too small and I had to put tape over it so it does t fall out. I wish there had been instructions. But it will do since the footrest works now.

Bought this as a replacement handle for my old La-Z-Boy recliner. The chair was bought second-hand about 17 years ago, and was probably originally made at least 15-20 before that. The old lever just snapped in half. The replacement came out of the mailer, a quick check to see if the star-hole matched and placed it on the chair. Fits and works as it should. Happy customer.
