How do you put a power switch in-line? There has to be a better way than plugging the battery directly into the Rx?

Sure, just add a short extension cord for the battery, easily available from many suppliers, and add a small power switch, many varieties available from those same suppliers, to the red line. (Meaning cut the red line and solder the two poles of the switch to the line you just cut.)

What transmitter is compatible with Spektrum??

Not any of the newer receivers.

Can i use this for a sailboat with a multiple turns servo winch?

Typically yes. It does depend on the servo. I use it with the HS785-HB with close to 4 turns at 120% on transmitter.

Is the output of the receiver ppm or sbus?

Hi, The flysky fs-ia6 supports PWM output only. You can choose fs-i6x+fs-ia6b, it is supported PPM and SBUS.
