This is a good value if you need 8 table locks. A template is not provided so I highly suggest making one out of a small piece of 1/4" plywood before you start, especially if you can't flip your table over and have to work upside down. Pre-drill 3/16" holes in your template and use those holes to pre-drill the four 3/16" holes into the table underside for the lock and catch. Add about 3/16" between the lock and catch so it will pull the leaves tight, otherwise it will be a little loose. Experiment mounting one lock on a scrap piece of wood using your template before drilling into your table.

We purchased a large wood patio table with two folding leaves to extend the length - the problem is that the table tends to "separate" at the seams when in use. We ordered these and installed them to the table without the leaves extended, then extended one leaf and installed the clasps, then the second leaf. When fully extended and all clasps are closed, the table is securely closed without separation. Very happy. I am a little concerned that these may not weather well on the patio as they appear to be painted "brass", but we will see. They all worked just fine on arrival and after installation. I will also say that the screws are kind of cheap, but that seems to be the case with everything coming from overseas - they really skimp on these screws for hardware products. Just be careful not to strip out the screw head when screwing it in.

I purchased these to replace the failing and missing table locks on a high-end table we bought at a consignment shop. The original ones were crazy expensive and were cheaply made for the price. The quality workmanship in these warranted a lot higher price tag and beat the originals hands down. The installation was easy also.I highly recommend.

I had 3 leafs to connect on my dining room table and picked these out of the countless options. they were easy to install and have great springs providing solid connection/tension.

This way it’s much easier to pre drill all the holes for the screws to go in. This set of 8 locks should really should come with a pre-made template I think, bso i used a plastic case for some table pins I ordered and it worked great.

The base is spring loaded and mounts easy to a wood surface, especially when predrilling the holes. After they were installed, I started attaching to the plate. 7 worked fine, but one wouldn't rotate cleanly - it started binding and then popped out of socket. I pushed it back into socket and it was problems from there on, including the spring popping out. As a result I am returning them all, knowing that if it gave me problems, my clients would probably run into more. after looking closely at the piece, it appears to be very thin. Disappointed.

They were exactly as advertised. Easy to install, my only "wish" was that they were a bit more heavy duty, but they should be fine. They actually arrived a day ahead of schedule...
