Critical display failure after four days of use
UPDATE: A few hours after writing this review the phone's display started behaving erratically, with its bottom fifth or so flickering bright green when the brightness it set to or near maximum. Contacted Google, and their technicians concluded it is a hardware failure that requires replacement. Well, now at least I know why someone returned this phone in the first place. Truly disappointing :/

Cannot unlock Bootloader. - Verizon Phones
Didn't think I'd write a bad review...I found that I bought this by mistake. This version of the Pixel 3 is by Verizon; whom locked the bootloader and the community has not found a way to bypass this issue.(Side note: Currently a bounty that has been building for 6 months and it stands with +$2000 at the time of writing for anyone who can crack it and confirm on XDA, also helping everyone else stuck with a Verizon device.)Most people will be happy to use the Pixel 3 without root features, however this is not what I expected. The seller does not point out that these are Verizon Pixel 3 phones with BOOTLOADER LOCKED, however they are CARRIER UNLOCKED. There is the distinguishing factor in that with Verizon as they're the only carrier that is difficult about UNLOCKED BOOTLOADERS for their phones. If you're a Verizon customer and want to root, I advise you call them up and make sure they support unlocking the bootloader. They are reported more lenient to their own customers.Do not purchase if you're not a Verizon Customer and wish to have the rooted experience.

Spies on you even more than other smart phones
I've owned this phone for a month and liked it for - never. I bought the hype and bought the phone but the first major flaw is that its default settings are to tell Google EVERYTHING you do, text, search, download, say and every place you go. Wow. Then it hides those settings and makes them hard to turn off..That's why the battery life is so - meh. Then the actual features aren't any significant upgrade over my Galaxy S9. In fact, their wireless charger is some weird version that doesn't work with the charging built into my car.Fortunately the S10 is out. It's over-priced but I have more control over my privacy than this Google phone.Until 2015, Google's motto was literally "Don't be evil." Then they stopped pretending that they lived by that motto anymore and flat out dropped it. This phone spies on you and reports it all to one source. I'm so done with it.

Phone failed after charging
Bought two units. Plugged them both in to charge and they were both charging. Got busy and then pulled them out a few days later to set them up. One of them is working, one of them is dead. It shows no signs of life whatsoever whether you plug it in or not.

Just saved about $300
I received my Google Pixel 3 in generic packaging but that is the only reason I could tell it was refurbished or renewed. I've had it for about 2 weeks now and no issues. I had an iPhone 5s previous to this and I can say that switching to the Google Pixel 3 was pretty easy. My iPhone was getting old/slow/issues charging and I couldn't justify spending $800-1,000 on a new phone. For $500 I got a new phone and it is faster, more intuitive, and has better features than my iPhone 5s did. Save yourself some money and get one of these, you won't regret it.

Best value
The battery life kind of lacks but I have been on it quote a bit. I've become addicted to it learning all the cool features. It being refurbished doesn't even make a difference. Could've fooled me. Looks brand new. Acts brand new. No issues yet but this is my second day of using it. The speaker is awesome. Camera is DOPE. Haven't even learned half of what it can do. SO WORTH IT!!!

Love it.
Came on time, easy start up, battery was at about 65% when it arrived, which is to be expected.Screen, sounds, and body of the phone all work and look nice.I usually get the short end of the stick when buying phones online but this one came in looking and acting brand new.

Phone was not unlocked.
The product description reads "unlocked to all carriers," mine arrived locked to T-Mobile US. Wasted a lot of time trying to get it sorted before shipping it back.UPDATE: After returning the first, I ordered a second phone (the same make/model) through Amazon Renewed and after less than 2 weeks the bottom half of the phone started flashing bright green and the phone became unusable. I hope others have better luck than I have had.
