Q: Is this product alkaline based?

Yes. This product contains Sodium Hydroxide (PH 14) among other chemicals. Works very well I've have been using this wheel cleaner in my business daily for nearly 2 years, aslong as its not let to dry in you should never have an issue.

Q: Can this product be used on powder coated wheels

I have checked the label and there is no warning re powder coated wheels. My wheels were re-furbed last year and have used this product a number of times without any issues. I have just cleaned my wheels and looked very carefully before answering and there is no visible detrement to the powder coating. Hope this helps.

Q: Could this be used on the body of a car without paint damage?

No this is not meant to be used on paintwork and should be removed if got on paint while doing rims, remember this is used to remove break dust so pretty active and could remove polish or wax on panels and you don't need that.
