Why are the trains so hard to connect & stay connected? Why won’t they just sit on the track? Takes 20 minutes to get tires lined up. Help.

There is a tool for sitting the coupler heights/alignment. If the couplers aren't at the same height they will disconnect when going around the track. You also need to make sure they go together and don't create a "bump" at the joint. The sit the trains on the tracks takes practice. I would find a hobby/train store and go in there and talk to someone.
