Nice and Bright LED Traffic Advisor Bar - Discreet & Simple to Use
This traffic advisor bar is bright and shows up well during the day and at night. I volunteer for litter removal along roadways and the light is visible far away and is safe to use to advise motorists to either slow down or merge left / right. The light bar is also compact enough it doesn't block the view out the rear cab window of my truck.Mounting:The bar mounts easily on any vehicle type and can be removed easily by pulling a tab on the suction cups. Finding traffic advisor bars to mount on truck cab windows can be hard since most products are made for sloped / angled windows. The SpeedTech lights comes with an included bracket and suction cups for a 90-degree mount that were perfect for a truck cab window but there's also a 360-degree suction cup mount you can buy separately if needed. My only slight complaint but won't dock a star for is that the suction cups were kind of difficult to slide onto the metal brackets. Had to use pliers and struggle with the back part of the suction cup back and forth over and over again to get them to pop in. Since there are 3x 90-degree brackets with 3 suction cups each you'll have to do this 9 times during install. At least you'll need to do this once and you'll know the suction cups will be real secure and never pop out of the mounting bracket.Control Box:The control box that came with the lights is simple and easy to use. It's compact enough it could fit inside a cup holder. The buttons have a nice backlight to them so you know which mode the bar is in at any time. It has a nice option for a switching the flashing speed from slow to fast.I like how you can easily jump from a flashing mode to a merge indicator with just one button push. The last light bar I had just had a single switch requiring you to cycle through 15x different light patterns one by one.

Left directional blinker won't turn on!
I have two major issues with this.1) The left directional blinker won't turn on, as you can see in the picture, the button is lite up but no light is coming from the light bar.2) Everytime I push either the directional button or flash button, you cant press it again and turn off. I'm not sure if this flaw is just my light bar or everyone has it, I just can't use it. I'm getting my refund and getting a diffrent light bar.UPDATE: STL has reached out to me and tried to trouble shoot the issue, it turns out it was a quality control fail and I've since returned the item for my refund. I'm gonna go from a 1 star to a 4 star because this company stands behind their product, and their customer service actually read our reviews. I just wish every company had the same attitude and pride as STL.

Great product
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. It's a great product so far very bright even in daylight. The controller is well built. I bought a amber and white one.

Some assembly required
I ordered this and am very happy with it so farTo note however, some assembly is required and it can be a bit confusing. The mounting brackets come in pieces; the bracket themselves, 2 guide bolts, 2 washers to put under the guide bolt so it slides into the track, 2 nuts to secure the bolts, and 2 unknown washers or something. Also I found no way of keeping the brackets from sliding about unless you have to tighten the nuts to the extreme. The visor comes with 10 screws (6 small, 4 long), 2 endcaps, and the visor itself. To assemble the visor don't make my mistake and misread the instructions. I thought you had to uninstall the stock endcaps when in reality the visor endcaps just go over the stock ones. The 6 small screws go into the small holes on the endcap and screw into the grooves of the visor and the 4 long screws go into the endcaps of the bar THROUGH the visor endcaps. I will say the other reason this got a 4 instead of a 5 is because one of the long screws had a flat tip (the cross for the screwhead was too far surfaced to use the screwdriver). The control box works perfectly as well, though i can not remove the harness now. it is too snug. Gonna be trying again so I can mount the box without the wires in the way. I have not tested the AUX function yet, I will need to splice my current dash light (manufactured by another company) into the aux wire. Hopefully I can cut the Aux cable down to size cause it is too long since the dash light already has a long wire about the same length as the aux.Aside from the assembly I like it, though it will not fit behind my rear seat headrests like I'd hoped. The depth (from front to back) is too wide. Perhaps if I raise the headrests it will work. It is very bright, in fact so much so the visor is pretty much required so my truck cab isn't a disco. great quality, good build, easy to install
I have been using speed tech lights for years on my emergency vehicles. The LEDs are bright, the wiring is quality, shielded, and last the life of the vehicle, and the controllers are quality and work great. Even the feel of the buttons is quality molding and printing. If you need a different mounting system, they offer better (than suction cups) mounting systems for under $10 directly through their website which have always worked better for me.The directional arrow stick here is definitely worth the money, it also offers an auxiliary function for secondary lights.I use this lightbar regularly and it is in my opinion better quality than a wheelen light for 3 times the price.

Best product and company I've dealt with thus far
I have both the visor lights and the traffic advisor from SpeedTech and they are by far the best lights I've had. I've been through other "name brand" companies which use the same technology but in application they've all fallen short; Be it customer service or the product itself, they've all fallen short of STL. I love my lights from STL and will be buying from them again. The universal mount for the F150 was a bit of a pain and required bending to be "perfect" and there's still flashback at night but that's to be expected. It's not as bad as other lights I've had before.
