I purchased this clipper not knowing what to expect. For years I've suffered toenail fungus and have spent countless hours trying to clip the thickened toenails. Toenail clippers you purchase at the local drug store just do not work. The cutter isn't wide enough to clip the nail, so you have to clip at awkward angles until you get the nail to a reasonable size.I've purchased assorted clippers from various vendors and none of them worked well. I searched and found this clipper on Amazon. After reading the description and some of the reviews, I decided to give it a shot. Why not.. nothing else has worked. After placing the order, it was initially scheduled to arrive approximately two weeks later based on the Amazon projected delivery date. Surprisingly, I received my clippers approximately four days later. Thank you very much seller for delivering so quickly.. and much sooner than expected.After opening the box, I found the clipper to be quite solid. It's heavy, the cutter is wide and very capable of cutting your thick toenails like a hot knife going through butter. The thumb lever is wide and the clipper is easy to hold. If you have thick toenails and you're tired of searching for something to trim them, give the Kohm CP-140L 4mm Wide Jaw Clipper a try. You'll be glad that you did!

I've only used the clippers so far and was very surprised when I was able to fit most of the nail into the clippers. They made short work of my tough nails which is a first for me. I've bought many supposedly great clippers only to be disappointed when they do not work. These work for my tough toe nails. The scissor type clippers have not been used yet and I expect they will also work as good as the clippers. Highly recommend though you need to be careful because both items are very sharp and will take more than you anticipated at the beginning of using them.
